Whispers are circulating of a concerted media effort in conjunction with the Obama White House to see H.R. 40 passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama within the next two years.
Longtime Michigan Congressman John Conyers Jr. is said to have met with President Obama “several times” to talk specifically about H.R. 40. These meetings have also included a number of prominent media members who also advocate the idea of a federal reparations program for descendants of American slaves.
A portion of H.R. 40 reads as follows:
A BILL
To acknowledge the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality,
and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and
the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and
to establish a commission to examine the institution of
slavery, subsequently de jure and de facto racial and
economic discrimination against African-Americans, and
the impact of these forces on living African-Americans,
to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate
remedies, and for other purposes.
Congressman Conyers’ circle of influence includes radical anti-White Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
The Reverend Al Sharpton is said to be coordinating efforts with Congressman Conyers as well, with both men visiting the White House often in recent years.
Far left journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates (upper right corner) wrote a widely read article in The Atlantic last year calling for passage of H.R. 40. Since that time Coates has participated in discussions at the Obama White House with others pushing for the law in meetings said to have been attended by Conyers, Sharpton, Eric Holder, Michelle Obama, and Valerie Jarrett, among others.
Coates’s article said the following:
“The Case for Reparations
Two hundred fifty years of slavery. Ninety years of Jim Crow. Sixty years of separate but equal. Thirty-five years of racist housing policy. Until we reckon with our compounding moral debts, America will never be whole.”
The recent racial tensions throughout the United States are said to be the foundation for the reparations bill. With every instance of alleged police abuse, the media will magnify the story 24/7, helping to create an environment where the once laughable prospect of billions of dollars in reparations to a single minority class of Americans becomes not only plausible, but increasingly possible. While Sharpton fronts the media attack to justify H.R. 40, the entirety of the effort is said to originate from and through, the office of Senior White House Adviser Valerie Jarrett, whose will Sharpton quickly bows to.
The most recent media effort to push for H.R. 40 is the largely manufactured scandal perpetrated against Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise. The media are attacking Scalise for having attended a “European-American Unity and Rights Organization” conference over a decade ago when he was as state legislator. He spoke at the conference against a local tax bill. The group is linked to former KKK member David Duke. Scalise has indicated he was invited to speak on tax issues and had no idea of the group’s questionable racial views.
Despite Louisiana Democrat Cedric Richmond, who also happens to be Black, declaring, “I don’t think Steve Scalise has a racist bone in his body. Steve and I have worked on issues that benefit poor people, black people, white people, Jewish people. I know his character,” the liberal media are now using the one time speech as evidence of not only Congressman Scalise’s alleged racism, but charging it is a racism that infects the entire Republican Party and much of White America.
The effort has primarily done two important things for those inside and outside of the Obama White House who hope to see H.R. 40 made into law.
First, it has all but removed national attention on the deaths of minority police officers and multiple attacks on other officers across the country by people influenced via the anti-police rhetoric coming from left wing politicians and agenda driven members of the media.
Second, it once again pummels White Americans with a sense of guilt, and Black Americans with a sense of entitlement, both of which play directly into the hands of progressive liberals who hope to see America further divided and thus further weakened at a time when it must be both strong and vigilant.
