GOP Rep: Obama Favors Communist Regimes Over “Pro-American” Governments

With the U.S. Congress passing bipartisan legislation to impose sanctions against Nicholas Maduro’s socialist regime in Venezuela, it is now up to President Obama to sign the legislation into law, but as we pointed out in a previous article, that would be easier said than done.
Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who sponsored H.R. 4587, or the ” Venezuelan Human Rights and Democracy Protection,” has said that she is skeptical that Obama will sign the bill into law, considering that the President has failed to sign hundreds of bills that have been passed in the House of Representatives.
Other skeptics of President Obama’s foreign policy, including Ros-Lehtinen’s colleague in the House, Rep, Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) questions why Obama continues to grant visas to the friends, family members, and actual government officials of anti-American communist regimes, yet refuses to grant visas to individuals from pro-American and democratic governments, including the country of Honduras.
“He does give visas to the sons and daughters of the Castors’, to members of the Maduro regime, who are among the most violent of the human rights abusers against the students,” said Diaz-Balart, who added that President Obama was not only “against the legislation to do sanctions, it’s also that he doesn’t even want to deny the visas to these thug from either Castro, Castro’s Cuba, or Maduro’s Venezuela.”
