I can't stand the crap about "the message" of the protesters.  Their message is that black thugs should be allowed to break the wall and assault people...and police officers...at will.  That they are above any law because they are black. THAT is their f-ing "message".

Given the number of fires, it seems like business owners are not in their stores.

I would bet that most of the gunfire is either idiots firing into the air, or rival gang bangers using the opportunity to shoot at one another.
