African-American activist and MSNBC host Al Sharpton shot back at allegations that he and his nonprofit organization owe an estimated $4.5 million in taxes to the federal government, saying the charges were politically-motivated. “A lot of people don’t like the fact that President Obama’s the president,” he told reporters in a Harlem press conference. “A lot of people do not like the fact that Bill de Blasio won for mayor. And they certainly don’t like that I’m still here, and I ain’t going nowhere.”

“I think it’s political,” he replied shortly at another point.

Local paper Capitol New York also reported that the press conference ended with Sharpton “abruptly walking out on a roomful of reporters.”

Most New Yorkers, even those that voted for de Blasio, disapprove of de Blasio's wife, Chirlane McCray, and Al Sharpton having the mayor's ear on policy.

polls show NYC voters cool on policy roll for mayor's spouse

If they had known that de Blasio's wife and Sharpton we're going to be be co-mayors they never would have voted for de Blasio.

That's so typical of communist politicians. They see themselves above rules.
