LONDON, November 6. /TASS/. Supporters and relatives of Muammar Gaddafi, including his widow and children, are going to return to Libya after the situation in the country stabilizes. It was announced to the Times by Ahmed Gaddaf al-Dam, cousin and councilor of the former Libyan leader.
Accodring to Ahmed Gaddaf al-Dam, who currently resides in Egypt, members of the family can return home within the next two months, if the government forces will regain control over major cities which are now controlled by Islamists. The talks on this issue are held with the head of state.
“We are optimistic that Libya will achieve peace in a few months. And then we will come back together”, said Ahmed al-Dam. He also said that Gaddafi’s relatives are ready to come to terms with their opponents for the sake of the country's future.
Muammar Gaddafi was toppled and killed by the opposition in 2011. Since then, the country is in an extremely unstable situation – an armed conflict between Islamists and government forces continues. This situation has led to the duality of power in the country.
