If you feel a disturbance in the Force, it's millions of voices suddenly crying out the new title of Star Wars: Episode VII -- The Force Awakens.The reveal comes as the movie finishes its final day of shooting (with many more months of post-production to come).
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in just two months, and today it's finally time to see the movie's official poster. No, not the teaser poster from last year, and not the promo item handed out at D23; this is the real deal. The poster features the key members of the cast that audiences have met thus far: Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, with some other faces that you just might recognize (hi, Han and Leia).What's even more interesting is the sight of some sort of orb in the upper right corner, complete with a glowing red eye. 30 years ago, I would have said this was some sort of riff on the Death Star, but given the secrecy that J.J. Abrams has been able to pull off up until this point it could be almost anything. A new weapon? A new character? We don't know right now, but odds are it will be revealed when the next trailer for the film is shown tomorrow during Monday Night Football.
