He may also be aware there is a strong likelyhood that the dems will loose control of the senate and this may really spell trouble for obama if it comes true. He would have no allies to back him up with obamacare, open borders etc, and he may really be dreading the end of this term 2 years early, whether or not he is impeached.
That may be his biggest concern. Up until now, Harry Reid has been tabling anything that would either put Dems in an uncomfortable position and/or lead to an uncomfortable bill the president would have to consider signing. Jarrett keeps the Cabinet under control, and when issues force Obama to talk about them he simply refers them to blue-ribbon committees, such as the Jobs Council and the Debt Commission. Even the Secret Service debacle has been referred to a special study group.
As has been pointed out earlier, he stays away from his daily national security briefings as much as possible, knowing Valerie will either handle the problem or tell him he needs to give a speech about the issue. He's no doubt having issues with momma-san, he's not getting enough golf and basketball, and he's unbelievably thin-skinned, all setting him on the edge. The only thing keeping him anywhere in the realm of reality is his all too frequent fund-raisings where he's completely in a friendly crowd where he can joke about Republicans and FoxNews.
