Hillary’s Latest Benghazi Defense: “She’s Incompetent”

Call this one the Eric Shinseki defense. It’s below her pay grade and she’s not equipped to understand it and was misled by the little people underneath her.
Hillary Clinton wants to be Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces… but don’t ask her to look at blueprints.
Ahead of the release of her new memoir, “Hard Choices,” which comes out on Tuesday and includes a chapter on Benghazi, Sawyer asked Clinton if there was anything she “personally” could have done to make the U.S. mission there safer.
“What I did was give very direct instructions” to “the people who have the expertise and experience in security,” Clinton told Sawyer, referring to her actions prior to the attack that claimed the lives of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. “That is personal.”
“I’m not equipped to sit and look at blueprints, to determine where the blast walls need to be or where the reinforcements need to be,” she added. “That’s why we hire people who have that expertise.”
Hillary Clinton didn’t have to ruin her eyes studying blueprints. The government has specifications for everything. That includes diplomatic facilities.
Those specifications were not met.
Ambassador Stevens sent repeated cables asking for better security that Hillary claims she never saw. Maybe she’s not equipped to read either.
The security people in Benghazi were not at all happy with the situation. They testified to that. It was one of Hillary’s people who played cover up on it.
Meanwhile Charlene Lamb, who opposed extra security got promoted for her role in the death of four Americans. We can pretend that Lamb is a security expert, more so than Eric Nordstrom, who was the actual RSO, but she’s not.
Lamb was another Hillary toady.
Eric Nordstrom, the regional security officer, blamed Lamb directly in his testimony.
In that interview, Nordstrom said he sent two cables to State Department headquarters in March 2012 and July 2012 requesting additional diplomatic security agents for Benghazi, but he received no responses.
He stated that Charlene Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary for international programs, wanted to keep the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi artificially low. He said Lamb believed the Benghazi facilities did not need any diplomatic security special agents because there was a residential safe haven to fall back to in an emergency.
This wasn’t an issue of blueprints. This was a State Department which blew a fortune on art and mansion renovations and ridiculously overpriced gadgets, but couldn’t be bothered to provide security in a war zone because it was the glitzy stuff that made Hillary look good.
But… what difference does it make?
