It’s easy to get caught up in the trappings of being a tourist when you visit the nation’s capital. We tour the Mall, the Museums, the Capitol building and all of the various and sundry monuments to our great leaders and our war heroes… but we can’t let the busy-ness of being a tourist cause us to forget the solemnity with which we should observe some of these places.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a place of solemn remembrance and should always be treated as such.
