Oceander Pierce told NBC affiliate WXIA-TV that the male suspect was at large for some time in the facility, which one former employee told Mashable is “a warehouse facility where FedEx trucks would dock in.” Another former employee said there are maybe 200 or less people working per shift and everyone gets along. “It’s a nice work place which is why this is shocking,” she says.The FedEx facility has security officers, a third employee tells Mashable, but they aren’t armed. “If you were [armed] there was nothing they could do, they don’t have anything to match a weapon,” said Collin Harrison, 22.
