The documentary chronicling Lindsay Lohan and her life after rehab has been in a ratings freefall with more viewers watching the animated adventures of SpongeBob SquarePants.
The 27-year-old actress was signed up by Oprah Winfrey for an eight-part documentary series following Lindsay's release last summer from rehab.
The show made its premiere on March 9 on Oprah's OWN channel with 693,184 viewers but the second episode dropped a substantial 24 percent in viewership.
Only 527,000 viewers watched the second episode of Lindsay on March 16 and lower ratings were expected for the third and fourth episodes, according to an article on Wednesday by RadarOnline.com.
Nickelodeon's cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants competes on Sunday nights with Lindsay and has been averaging an impressive three million viewers per episode.
The adventures of the animated sea sponge have been been beating the E! network's Keeping Up With The Kardashians in the ratings.
The Lindsay documentary has been disappointing in the OWN channel's key demographic of women ages 25 to 54 with other shows on the network such as Tyler Perry's The Haves and Have Nots and Love They Neighbor drawing millions more viewers.
The documentary has reached its halfway point under director Amy Rice, best known for the 2009 documentary By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.
In the upcoming fifth episode of Lindsay on Sunday the rest of the actress' belongings arrive at her New York City apartment and her life coach questions her sobriety.
In a sneak peek of the episode on the OWN website, the actress is shown crying out of frustration as she speaks about movie casting and also was confronted about drinking.
'Why am I holding this in. Yeah, f*** it. I screwed up. I screwed up,' Lindsay was shown responding.
Lindsay's first interview upon leaving rehab on July 30 was with Oprah and she has since made appearances on Chelsea Handler as a guest host, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
