And do you suppose the Senators that are elected by the voters in the states, reflect to some degree their views?
One way of looking at it is, that candidates to your liking, don't get elected. Like Akins, Angle, Buck, Hayworth, O'Donnell, and others.
It is a sad indication of the State of the country as well that it has swung so far left, collectivist, and pop culture. Too many are willing to just accept it as that and compromise with it instead of continuing to work toward moving it right. (and I wasn't crazy about half on that list you posted but they were better than their Dem counterparts).
Too many these days just want politics to get along and do what they are told is how it is and always will be. They remind me of the blue-hairs that are head of the local party. They just want to use it as a social club to get along with other blue-hairs, drink wine, and have an excuse to hang out together on donor's dimes. They hate anything that upsets the norm, a bunch of little-old ladies who just want things to favor their continuing to socialize with other blue-hairs.
The don't care what is right. They want to do what is easy.
