--- Quote ---Around 200 people hurled rocks at police and set cars ablaze in a Stockholm suburb during the second day of rioting, which was triggered by the fatal police shooting of a man wielding a knife.

Dozens of windows were smashed, 10 cars and several containers were set on fire, and seven police officers were injured on Tuesday.

Six people were arrested early in the day, but two were released after questioning, police spokesman Jorgen Karlsson said.

Cars and containers were also set ablaze in Fittja, another Stockholm suburb, although police said it was not clear whether the two events were linked.

The unrest began Sunday night in response to the May 13 shooting, in which police killed a 69-year-old man who had locked himself in an apartment in Husby, west of Stockholm. Around 80 percent of the roughly 11,000 residents of the suburbs are first- or second-generation immigrants.

Police have refused to give the nationality of the victim.

Many local residents see the shooting as an example of police brutality, and the violence has stirred debate in Sweden.

Not the sort of thing you expect from the Swedes.

Perhaps we don't expect this of Swedes because the protesters are not Swedes.  According to the BBC:

Rami al-Khamisi, a law student and founder of the youth organisation Megafonen, told the Swedish edition of online newspaper The Local that he had been insulted racially by police. Teenagers, he said, had been called "monkeys".

He said the crowd was reacting to a "growing marginalisation and segregation in Sweden over the past ten, 20 years" from both a class and a race perspective.

Justice Minister Beatrice Ask said anyone who felt mistreated by police should file a report.

An investigation is under way into the shooting of a man, 69, last Monday after police were called out to a home in Husby where the man was allegedly brandishing a machete.

In other words, young "immigrants" are using the shooting as an excuse to riot and complain about their lot in life.

Not the sort of thing you expect from the Swedes.

No, but we do from these guys.

More than 80% of Husby's 12,000 or so inhabitants are from an immigrant background, and most are from Turkey, the Middle East and Somalia.

So, ever so tolerant and offensively self-righteous Sweden, how's that multicultural thing going?

Most countries in Europe admitted "guest workers" and "refugees" starting decades ago. And many countries have had predictable problems with the people, too.

IOW these problems in Sweden are not the first, and they are not the only country to have the trouble.

I believe if elections were held highlighting agreement or disagreement with having these people admitted, the majority would say No, keep them out.

But you can't go back in time, and the problems today are predictable. They burned cars in Paris.

Another day, another Muslim riot.
