Excerpts:

If anyone at the Times wondered even for a second why a Jewish senator would be promoting a recipe for a dish that violates the dietary laws of the Jewish religion, it’s not evident from the story, which portrays the recipe as somehow a perfect fit for the senator:

>

I also wonder why the paper doesn’t supply some explanation of how or why a senator who publicly and proudly identifies as a Jew from Brooklyn wound up promoting a pork recipe. Maybe it is some kind of pun on “pork-barrel” political spending.

Does he have a good goulash receipt.  I could use that.

I made some goulash with pork just a few weeks ago. Dooolicious!, as my husband's Serbian grandmother always said.

I'll have to try that sound yummy.  Mom's meatloaf recipe uses 2/3 ground beef 1/3 pork with strips of bacon under and on top!It is wonderful.

Pork?

Religion, schmeligion. Schumer owes his career to pork—it's how he keeps getting re-elected!

Schumer's so experienced with pork he'd have to register as a pro to trade hogs on the commodity exchanges.

Almost as good as Lizzy Warren's traditional Native American Crab cakes or whatever they were.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour
