Florida State has suspended quarterback Jameis Winston for the entire game Saturday night against No. 22 Clemson, the school announced late Friday.

Winston, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner for the No. 1 Seminoles, originally had been suspended for just the first half against the visiting Tigers after a profane and sexually explicit outburst in the student union on campus earlier this week.

"Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night," interim Florida State president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox said in a joint statement Friday night.

Winston was seen shouting an obscene sexual phrase on campus Tuesday, the latest incident in which his off-field behavior has caused headaches for the team and university.

Jameis Winston seems to do whatever Jameis Winston wants to do.

The suspended Florida State quarterback took the field for warm-ups before his team's game on Saturday night in full pads and wearing his helmet even though he was barred from playing. Winston did this "after apparently being told he would not be allowed to dress for the game," according to ESPN's Chris Fowler. Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, seemingly quite exasperated, sent Winston back to the locker room to change.

Winston was suspended for the team's nationally-televised game against Clemson following an offensive, sexually explicit outburst on campus earlier this week. His punishment was initially announced as a half-game suspension but increased to the full game on Friday. After it was reinforced by Fisher that this suspension also included pre-game warm-ups, Winston changed into attire more appropriate for a sideline spectator.

In fairness to Mr. Winston....maybe he's like that 64% that can't name the three branches of the federal government.

...maybe he thought 'suspension' was that he couldn't go on the field, but could otherwise join the team on the sidelines.
