After President Obama was criticized for his comment that the U.S. doesn't have a strategy yet for combating ISIS, the White House said that Obama will not be rushed in his decision on how to confront the terrorist group in Syria and Iraq.

“There’s no timetable for solving these problems that’s going to meet the cable news cycle speed,” White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer told the Washington Post. “It’s not a tenable thing. We’d much rather do this right than do it quickly. We tried the opposite [during the Bush years] and it worked out very poorly.”

The administration has continued to authorize targeted airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq, but it has not yet responded to the organizations advances in Syria.

Secretary of State John Kerry wrote an op-ed for the Saturday New York Times calling for a global coalition to responded to the ISIS threat.

Spent some time last night, with a 20 year E8 (Master Sergeant) Special Forces. MOS 18B, weapons specialist. Served in Iraq I 1991, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq II and has several injuries. Planning to go back to work as a civilian contractor.

He says the military is restrained from doing the entire job over there.

Think back to Vietnam, when Johnson was criticized for having to approve of every mission, etc.

Now think about today, when Obama can't make decisions, whatsoever.

No wonder Russia and ISIS/ISIL decided to just go ahead. It proved right to just go ahead.

Expect more of the same instability until Obama leaves office. It is a safe wager.

I agree. The worst possible thing the terrorists and other actors could do would be to commit terrorism on America. That would wake everbody up.

Obama is a gift from God to the terrorists. They need to just leave him alone. If you are a terrorist, you just want to keep letting Obama do what he is doing. You sure don't want to mess things up.

If I was Ben Laden, I'd send Obama a brand new bag of clubs. That would keep him occupied for at least a couple of months.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

No disrespect, T_S.  I love you like a brother.

But, I wouldn't need to talk to a highly experienced special forces veteran with that resume to tell me that.

It all come down to this...straight from the lips of Barack Obama.

In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.

And every one of his Middle East foreign policy decisions prove it.

Of course! It takes time for his Tehran masters to formulate what he is to do and transmit that to him.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Quick question.  If there are Americans, Brits, French, etc., signing up to commit death with the members of a terrorist organization, why are there not members of these nations signing up to fight AGAINST these groups?
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

No problem. I weigh his words very highly. I will get to talk with him again, and perhaps again.

My money says that Obama will strike hard in mid October...giving the MSM sufficient time to portray Barry as a war hero.

That is his strategy.
