Fox Business host lashes out at 'big dumb baby' Trump for attacking Yovanovitch during impeachment hearing
By Jessica Campisi - 11/16/19 07:36 AM EST

Fox Business host Lisa Kennedy on Friday slammed President Trump for his tweeted attacks on former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch during her public testimony on Capitol Hill, calling the president a "big dumb baby."

"Should the president be tweeting at her mid-hearing? No, it makes him look like a big dumb baby," Kennedy said on air. "And he makes her look like a victim and if he'd just let it go, the last two days of hearings and testimony would've been a snoozefest."

This is what I said while watching the hearings

Trump is his own worse enemy, incredibly stupid to attack her while she is testifying. Everything was going his way until he took to twitter.

IMO, Trump is simply, very consciously, doing differently from what past R Presidents did. Schiffty, to use the term applied by a PJMedia writer, wrote Calvin Ball "rules" for the hearings. Instead of knuckling under, as was done in the past, Trump has essentially responded, "Great! Your witnesses and prosecutors are the ones I'll kick."

Fox's Kennedy: Trump tweeting Yovanovitch made him 'look like a big, dumb baby'
by Ellie Bufkin
 | November 16, 2019 10:33 AM

Fox Business host Lisa Kennedy slammed President Trump for tweeting disparaging messages about former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch saying his messages made him "look like a big, dumb baby."

The president sent messages on Twitter while Yovanovitch was testifying as part of the public impeachment hearings against the president on Friday.
"Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad," Trump tweeted. "She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/foxs-kennedy-trump-tweeting-yovanovich-made-him-look-like-a-big-dumb-baby

He is a big dumb baby.  And that is what makes him so dangerous to elect for a second time.  He doesn't act like an adult and he always sabotages his own policies with his childish actions.  Furthermore he has shown bad judgment in foreign policy.  A child should not be making foreign policy decisions.

I watched the Yovanovitch testimony and she had nothing.  But being that Trump had to be a big baby it made her look like a victim.  It gave Schifty Schiff more stories to tell too.

Trump should keep tweeting, essentially being deprived of a voice in Schiff’s court, but needs to focus on educating rather than insulting. People need to know how duplicitous yavanovich is for example.

I think it was in bad taste and reeks of a lack of common sense....

for Trump to have made that tweet "during" the testimony.  Had he managed some restraint and made the tweet AFTER the ""Inquiry"" was over, it would have been fine.   But let's face it.  Trump just can't help it.   There really is no "filter" on it when he feels like lashing back.  We saw it during the GOP primary.... several times....lol.

That is one of the main gripes that I and others that have reluctantly supported him thus far have had.   Realistically.... it begs the question...

if he has no restraint on something minor like this....

what "else" will he, in future, have no restraint on?   It is an issue, unfortunately.

It's impossible for the witness to have been affected/intimidated in any way by Pres. Trump's tweet(s)

She'd have to have had her twitter open in front of her and received notification of the tweet.

That said....get used to it.  He's a genuine PAIN-IN-THE-ASS!!   And God, love him!!

By end of the news cycle on Monday, this will have all dissipated or morphed into something else.

In the meantime, what are all the cable shows and news sources talking about?

About Yovanobitch....who has less than an arm's length distance to Hunter Biden and Burisma and the list of people to stop investigating.

Yeah, I know that already.   But that's not the issue I'm addressing here.

My problem with 'getting used to it' is.... he is only hurting his chances of re-election when he does stuff like that.... stuff that ain't too awfully bright.   He has some really great GOPers that are on the front lines (Jordan, Ratcliffe, Nunes, etc.).... and are knocking themselves out to make their case FOR him and what does he do?  Another stuckonstupid tweet!    *****rollingeyes*****

Yes, but why hand your opposition ammo... or start digging yourself....when your opponents  are busy digging their own grave?  It makes no sense.  Illogical.  Again, a main issue I had during the primary.  I concluded that Trump didn't really want to win that election due to his illogical behavior.   And here he goes again, under threat of Impeachment,  still making it look like he's not interested in winning next year.  W T H ???

In the meantime, what are all the cable shows and news sources talking about?

Yeah....well.   They're spinning it against Trump as usual.  Problem is... if there's enough dumbasses out there that believe everything they spew... we're in trouble.

I fully realize WHY the left is doing what they're doing.  I have stated as much right here on this forum.   But let's not make things easy for them, eh?

And again... it wasn't the tweet, per se.  It was the "timing" of the tweet that I object to.

No one is questioning his right of freedom of speech...just wished he showed a little restraint of tweeting during testimony. Now he has given the RATS more ammo to use against him....you noticed during the hearing after Trump tweeted and Shitless read it aloud that the Repubs didn't dare address it then and there..I think they were gobsmacked as I was...

Now the RATS are running with bribery and witness intimidation although I don't think the latter will fly...and bribery has yet to be proven.

I think it was in bad taste ...

Bad taste? When Trump's been called a Hitler and Putin's @#$%-holster? When Congress-Critters publicly advocate harassing people who serve in his Administration? When Trump's been called a Russian operative? When Trump's been called a racist and an antisemite and a neo-Nazi?

Did you think through that comment? In the context of all the sewer-crap that has been hurled at Trump continuously for 4 years, his responses have been disproportionately mild, IMO.

Accusing Trump of "witness intimidation" was precisely trying to criminalize Trump's exercise of his freedom of speech.

Yes.  His timing was in extremely bad taste.   He should have anticipated what the rats would do and how they would use that tweet....and he should have held his cyber-tongue until AFTER the damned hearing/testimony/inquiry/whatever the hell it is.

@mystery-ak

I have printed and read, the ten page statement of David Holmes.  If he reads this next Tuesday when he testifies, I don't think Trump can be reelected.  The Republicans are not going to convict him in the Senate, but after reading this, his reelection is in doubt.  Holmes was and is there for everything in Ukraine, one of his duties was/is official note taker for every meeting of the Ambassador and every official who came/comes from the US Government to there and had/has meetings.

All the people involved, US names too many to list, including Giuliani, "The Three Amigos" they called themselves (Secretary Perry,Ambassador Sondland, Ambassador Volker) what they did and when they did it, notes taken every time except for one when Perry wouldn't allow notes or Holmes or anyone else in a meeting with principal Ukrainians, and one when Sonland, wouldn't allow notes of Homes or anyone else also in a meeting with principal Ukrainians.

If you really want to know what happened in Washington with Trump and Ukraine, dates and what it was, and what happened in Ukraine with these US people coming there, dates and what they did, read Holmes' statement.

I didn't make any posts on the last live thread here.  I make this post today because I now know who did what and when and what was said and done with every principal US person involved, including Trump, and the same with every Ukraine official in Ukraine plus what they did when in the US.

LOL!   See how that works?

My original point was that with an adversarial media 96% of the time...tweeting is the only tool he has.

Because he has the bully pulpit the media instantly react to anything of controversy.  Which has proven to be home field advantage for the him.

Had he tweeted about her incompetence earlier that morning before she was sworn in....then I'd be inclined to agree on the lack of forethought.
