Trump stole his idea about a wall from a 1950s western TV series 'Trackdown.'

Why should I hold myself to a higher standard than the President?

You have no standards.  Just gutter politics.

One could say the same of our President.

Why should I hold myself to a higher standard than the President?  I have faith President Trump is guilty.

Nah.  I posit that you have no faith... at all.   You just 'want' him to be guilty to bolster your dislike of the guy.  Amirite?

I have faith in God and Jesus is my savior.  I have faith in America and my family, and friends.  I also have faith that you love your country, family, and friends.  I just think you're giving President Trump too much credit.  https://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/04/jeffrey-epstein-trump-lawsuit-sex-trafficking-237983 “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years,” Trump said at the time. “Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

I didn't like Trump before he was accused of rape.  Now after "grab 'em by the p*$$y," Junior Miss America peek-a-boo, multiple adulteries, Trump's crook lawyer mortgaging his house to pay off Trump's porn star adventures, and 2 dozen accusations of sexual harassment...well I suppose it's possible that my unwillingness to give Donald the benefit of the doubt is a sign of MY shortcomings.  You go ahead and defend him to your hearts content.  I am uncomfortable doing so.

Jaunita Broaddrick didn't come forward until Clinton's seventh year as President.  It's another record breaking accomplishment for President Trump.  #MAGA

I agree.

There is ample evidence that proves Trump's aberrant behavior.   Stating that evidence, and continuing to mistrust him and believe that he is a predator (proven by his own words), should not be held against you.

The very words, "She's not my type," prove his complete lack of respect for women and lack of understanding of how offensive his words are to any woman who respects herself....

Sorry, but he was elected, not turned into a different person......
Character still matters.  It always matters.

His own words accuse him.

Well, I'm very glad that you're a Christian and an American patriot (as am I).  But... it's not that I'm giving Trump too much credit.  I just don't blame him for crap accusations by the radical left that have been unproven and that I am pretty shock sure is merely partisan-motivated BS.  Has his track record for hiring idiots been solidified?  Hell yeah.  He sucks at discernment when it comes to who would or would not be a good, loyal and proficient cabinet member or staff.  But that doesn't equate to him being a rapist or any other crap he has been accused of by the idiot left.  I remember only too well how Bush was accused of everything under the sun, including a freaking tsunami.  It's how the left rolls.  But, you knew that.

His rhetoric in private...to another male that he was engaging in locker room banter, his typical male penchant to take a peek at attractive females and his marital infidelities have nothing to do with how he is running the nation (or trying to).   I agree with most of what he claims he wants to do.  It's just his follow-through that I'm having issues with.  I am no prude and most of his antics you've mentioned don't bother me at all (especially considering every other president's antics- except for Reagan).  Bottom line.... it's not your refusal to defend him that I am addressing.  It's your penchant for assuming he is guilty of "all things accused of" sans proof, facts and reality.  Your bias is obvious.

Uh.... considering the fact and reality of the Clintons' criminal behavior and their ever-growing mysterious deaths list, I don't blame her for not immediately coming forward.  It took guts and courage to do so.   People have died for much less... and Hillary is a very intimidating, evil creature.  She would scare anyone with a working brain cell.

Bottom line, I don't believe Trump has ever raped anyone.   And I'm not exactly a fan of his.  So whenever I see someone so eager to assume he is guilty of rape, I automatically see a biased, partisan hack.   JS...

Nope.  Not when it comes to BS accusations of rape.....unproven accusations by radical (psychotic) leftists.  Sorry, but... I don't believe a damned thing the left spews.   Ever.   And like I just mentioned to Once-ler... none of that has anything to do with how he is running (or trying to) the country.   I just want to see some follow-through vs. empty threats and words.... especially when it comes to border security/enforcement.

Btw, nice to see ya.

No. Just no.

As a completely heterosexual male, I have never spoken about grabbing women by the nether regions, even in private, even in a locker room, even as a teenager, much less a fully grown adult. Let's put this myth to rest. It's sexist and it has consequences.

I guess I'm what you call "old-fashioned."  What he is trying to do to run the country is a far second place to who he is as a person.

And the response, "She's not my type," is further evidence that he feels entitled to do what he wants to women, and though he's denying the rape aspect (which may or may not be the truth, seeing as he has trouble with truth-telling), he's further indicting himself as one who has no respect for women.

This is the same reaction as the Clintons' squelching "bimbo eruptions."  More of the accusatory fingers are pointing back to the defender.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are the same kind of man.

Thank you for that, @jmyrlefuller !  The idea that speaking with utter contempt for women with other men is either 'normal,' or defensible in any way is unacceptable.

I don't understand why men or women would want to besmirch males by assuming they're all pigs who have a disdain for women.

I KNOW that is not the case.

And you are proof of it!

We'll have to agree to disagree on this, then.   The Clintons are the most evil couple I know of... so to compare 'Trump of now' (vs. Trump of back then) to the evil duo seems a bit harsh... since I still choose to believe that he is at least trying and wanting to save this country from the rabid, radical leftists.  I had and still have no problem believing that Bubba Clinton has raped women... and so far, has gotten away with it.  But there is still that pesky Judgment Day awaiting him (and us all).

Indeed.  I have no trouble believing that Clinton raped more than Juanita.  And I am grateful that he will some day pay for his egregious sins.  (Though fully cognizant that without the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, so would I).

Still, I maintain that the inability to tell the truth, the total absorption of self, the complete disrespect for women and the sense of entitlement that they can do whatever they feel like whenever they feel like it to women, is exactly the same in the two.

I wouldn't want either one of them near my daughters.

Well, I do believe that people (some people) can change ...by the grace of God.   If Trump truly has been saved, found God and is now a Christian, perhaps there was some divine intervention going on there?  Miracles do happen...right?  lol

I completely agree.  It's possible that he has changed....... or rather that God has changed his heart.  That's something that none of us knows.

However, with his history of lying, it's difficult to know whether he has or not.

So I still wouldn't trust him around my daughters.   The younger one, more like her mother , would likely knee him in the groin if he tried anything, but I wouldn't want her near him nonetheless.

Too much like Bill Clinton.

Glad to see you posting again @musiclady. Yes, Trump has a proclivity to lying. Running his mouth has been detrimental.  I think the Presidency has mellowed him a bit, and certainly it appears that he and the FLOTUS seem to enjoy being round children and it sure seems he certainly adores his own grandchildren.  His choice of words in this case didn't do him any favors.

He may be the President of this country, but I believe him to be narcissistic; the type that thinks very highly of himself. He likes to brag, but I'm not so sure that at the end of the day, his bragging is just that; all talk. It may be his way of making himself feel better about himself and truth be known perhaps he truly has a soft heart.

I hope and pray rape, isn't something that he's capable of. What an absolute disaster that would be for his marriage, his family, the victim, the victim's family and this country.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Just for the record, I don't believe the accusations of rape either.  I DID with Bill Clinton.

Just because a person is slimy and disrespectful doesn't mean he's a criminal.  And I agree that he seems to be a bit mellower now than he was.

Sorry, but he was elected, not turned into a different person......
----------------------------
And that is the essence of the matter.
His fan club believes election confers attributes of character, reflection and wisdom.
Yet his wise Mother knew him best of any, labeling him incorrigible at 12 years.
Now he is a 70ish fat boy w/the same infantile smirks and mannerisms who
cannot shut his mouth; the eternal hallmark of those stupid at their core.
As days pass, more and more plain people plainly grasp this reality.
