Yep.  I'll admit I came on the forum with a burr in my saddle today because of several good people who've moved along.

I was determined to call people on it when they abused others, but, apparently, I offended some NTers who never hesitate to be the offenders.

So, if I went too far, I'm sorry.  But I don't want this forum to fold because of dissent ... not respectful dissent, we need that, but the constant attacking by the NTers of anyone who says something favorable about Trump.

You really don't get it?   Here's the thing....

you can't counter a negative with another negative....or an insult with another insult.  Just like.... you can't counter evil with evil.

If someone says something you don't approve of, like or agree with..... they have that right.  You have the right to IGNORE it.  So.... pull up your big girl panties and move on.  It's just that simple. 

And if anyone has gotten disgusted and left the forum, that's their choice.  This forum is probably the best forum on the net right now for anyone on the right... and I know cuz I've researched.  If they can't handle it here, they probably can't handle it ANYWHERE....so tough chit.  And I say that with great sincerity.   ^-^

It seems to me that characterizing Trump as starting to "spook the left" is the wrong characterization especially given the two examples cited by PowerLine blog.  IMO, all David Brooks and Willie Brown are doing is trying to look at Trump (and some of his accomplishments) in an objective way.    Brooks noted some of Trump's foreign policy achievements while Brown cited "the jobs growth reports, the North Korea summit and the steady economy". 

I don't think the left is spooked, but at least a couple of them seem to be trying to be objective IMO.  I wish everyone would try and be more objective, and by everyone, I mean everyone:  left, right, NTs, and ETs.

There's plenty of blame to go around on both sides. Just remember that. The very toxic environment that certain members now bemoan—and I remember it well—was, in many cases, their very own creation. People on both sides have been driven off.

FWIW, I really don't care about the heated exchanges. It's the boring sarcasm and jokes that turn me off.

My interest is to explore the topics of the day and why people believe what they believe about them.

I think your observation is correct, but they fail to recognize the reason for Trump's success. I have been pleasantly surprised that despite all his rough edges Pres. Trump's instincts have been spot on. He's had very little support from the Pubs in Congress but has still raised his support among citizens.

It's Trump's instinct to focus on what Americans are interested in, not what the political class is interested in. The Pubs want to concentrate on how great the tax cuts are in the mid term elections and to try and minimize losses. Pres. Trump just keeps pivoting back to immigration, the wall, healthcare and trade.

I'm finding I really appreciate that Pres. Trump doesn't play defense. He just keeps attacking.

The last big case before the supreme court Neil Gorsuch ruled rather dubiously.
Trillions in deficit spending. We're spending our and our children's future by this massive unfunded spending. Something Trump wants to increase further with "infrastructure" spending which is really more pork for the unions. This has serious consequences down the road all for a quick fix now. That makes it smoke and mirrors.
All the positive fringe around the edges doesn't make up for the above.

I will give him credit for NK if we can actually pull most of our troops out of SK. That's not a done deal yet.
Israel, I'll give him credit but there's death and destruction coming with it because the culture of death is offended.
