Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross.

Yes, very well decorated, but there are those who would also paint a whole different picture of McCain's service to country; both during and after the war.

Your signature comment fits in this situation with McCain dying and people saying bad things about him:
"...and we are all made by the same almighty God.  We must love each other, show affection for each other..."
That doesn't happen on this thread.  When threads get nasty, I seldom post on them.

In the same light, you would think that they man who is dying would refrain from speaking ill of others and making peace in his final days.  He's doing just the opposite and I see that as pretty despicable.

I stood up for McCain when Trump dissed him and said he liked hero's that weren't captured.  That was wrong.  I would never attack someone's service to the country.

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

It is despicable.  Sarah Palin went through a lot after running with him.  They put her family through the ringer.  She was the Conservative side of the campaign.

Silly person. Those fellow inmates who accused Johnny of rolling over for the VC were not heroes like Johnny. They were not politicians after all.

I'm afraid I didn't expect any better.  Kind of makes me sad to watch it.  I'm convinced he's not writing any of this because he's cashed them in already.  Election day minus 180 days is May 8, so put that on the calendar and watch.

@Once-Ler

I don't agree with the trashing of this dying man.  Until now, I have stayed away from threads that are saying bad things about him.

I had to go back and see where this originate and I see it was here.  I would just like to say that a persons sickness does not define who they are.  I had stage three Cancer this last year and I don't expect anyone to tip toe around my posts.  If I say something wrong someone is going to say so.  McCain said something wrong and people are going to respond.

Maybe I missed something.

You take all the fun out of kicking a dying man.

If McCain had any remorse for the things he's done to us as a country I could respect that.

What did he do to us that he should be remorseful?

Ripping off taxpayers with the Keating Five for starters, then again it was "Poor Judgement" on his part, right?

According to the Senate Ethics Committee, yes.

http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-mccain-keating-10-07-08-2008oct07-story.html

Quote
The investigation ended in early 1991 with a rebuke that McCain "exercised poor judgment in intervening with the regulators." But the ethics committee also determined McCain's actions "were not improper nor attended with gross negligence."
Quote
"I faced in Vietnam, at times, very real threats to life and limb," McCain told The Associated Press in a written statement last March. "But while my sense of honor was tested in prison, it was not questioned. During the Keating inquiry, it was, and I regretted that very much."

So it looks like McCain has remorse over Keating.  Points to you.  What else?

What was the RNC thinking... Running McCain the liberal. (It must of been his turn)

@darroll

He was/is one of them. Who else did you expect them to support?

Got that right toots. You'd think at this stage of the endgame one would be focused on family, not stirring up irrelevant controversies.

@Frank Cannon

His "Family" was more about "political opportunity" than it was family. He married into a Senate seat.

@Once-Ler

Yeah,and his daddy and granddaddy being Admirals had nothing to do with it,right?

NOT saying he didn't have stones,though. When you are as horrible at being a pilot as he was and still take off from and land fighters on a carrier deck,you have stones.

BUT.....,the facts are if it weren't for his daddy and granddaddy,chances are he would have washed out of flight school.

It was his father and grandfather that kept him from being courtmartialed for his actions as a POW,though.

Your's is the one name in my ignore list, because I don't think I can learn anything from you, I have no interest in trying to teach you anything, and I don't think there is a point in arguing with you.  I feel very certain I have told you this before, but maybe I just put you on ignore without saying anything.  It's been almost a year.  I don't think I've seen your posts or had you @ me since.  Did you not notice?

That's just a rhetorical question.

You are of course welcome to respond to my posts, although I would suggest you might at least cite some sources besides your words, if you are going to spit on McCain's grave...but feel free to ignore me.  No need to @ me.  I'll @ you if I change my mind.

Oh,no! How am I to ever learn anything if I won't be properly skooled by a closed mind cretin?

So sad that this remnant of a man is nasty enough to take this time to trash Sara Palin who was probably responsible for him getting as many votes as he did.

Exactly.  I voted for Sarah, in spite of her running ticket partner.  I held my nose in the knowledge that I was also voting for McCain (never again).

What did he do to us that he should be remorseful?

Most recently, refusing to step down from his Senate seat knowing full well that he was never returning and certainly knowing he can't do his job and cast a vote from home or his hospital bed.

In a nutshell, holding a Senate seat under the Republican umbrella and speaking out and voting as a Democrat.

It's sad so few other posters see it that way.  I think less of them for it.

McCain can STHU and quit stirring up old grudges anytime. What dying man does this, other than one with a boundless narcissistic ego?

I don't lament the end of an enemy of Freedom and democracy.

He's worked with Kerry, Hillary, Obama, Bill, and other power leftists for years to undermine this country.  Just a few months ago he was in Europe publicly bad mouthing the United States and the POTUS.
