Unless his speeches are filled with details, I am not happy with Trump's still speaking in generalities and not specifics.

That's all he has ever done. As specific as he gets is claiming "I will just hire good managers to take care of that". Like these problems really are that simple. When you think about it,nobody is more insulting to conservative voters than Trump because he thinks that is all the explanation he needs to make.

Once again pointing to the possibility that Trump is a stalking horse for Clinton.  He's in it to make the Republican party look like idiots.

I've been saying that since he announced.

Trump, being Trump,is also in it for a payoff.

I am wondering, did he hire 'good managers' or as he often puts it, 'the best people' to run his bankrupted projects?
Did he hire the best people to run Oceans Resort Baja?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump Ice?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump Financial?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump Mortgage?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump University?
Did he hire the best people to build the GM Building?
Did he hire the best people to run the United States Football League?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump Magazine?
Did he hire the best people to run Trump the Game?
Did he hire the best people to run his 2000 presidential bid?

When did he hire the best people?

What about Trump Steaks?

Oh, that was just the tip of the iceberg. But I don't want to bash Trump steaks, they were glorious, they were yuge, they the bestest, most amazing steaks you ever tasted. They were so good, your poop will thank you for it.

Thanks, Lando!

Want to see how he does in NH and S. Carolina.

I hope being a bridesmaid in Iowa will temper him a bit.  It's all there for him if he REALLY wants it.

Sorry, folks. But, reports of Donald Trump's demise are being somewhat over-estimated. Donald Trump is not rolling over simply because of a 2nd place finish out of 12 in Iowa, an outlier state with a built in constituency for the preacher's son, Ted Cruz.

Let's see how the landscape shifts after New Hampshire, shall we?

Agreed, AC!

Iowa always seems to go with strong, avowed Christians....who lack the broad appeal of a nation of 330 Million people in a general election.

I simply ask my fellow members here to remember, in 2012,  that the MOST decent candidate the Republicans put up since the 1800's in Mitt Romney got his butt handed to him.

.....By an unabashed anti-American Socialist Marxist!

Now Bernie Sanders is neck and neck with Clinton.

We're all concerned....as we should be...about the next election.

We should be most alarmed at what we've allowed the Department of Education to do to our children.  And it may already be too late.

Not only is Raphael Cruz a preacher, he's also a mathematician.  Interesting combination.

Very nicely said, DC. Accurate too, about Romney being decent. A good and smart man tossed aside for Barack Hussein Obama. Sometimes I think my fellow countrymen are just plain nuts!!

No...he's not.

He decided to go the Populism and Nationalism route toward the presidency.  He's tapping into the anger felt by the vast majority of American People at what the Democrats and specifically, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Kerry and Clinton have done to our country.   With 100% cooperation from the mainstream media.

A simple message that he's going to return to the policies of what made America the greatest country on the globe can only go so far.

My point is that it's time for him to begin acting 'Presidential' and offer HIS solutions.

Trump brought several important elements to this election:  He obliterated the political correctness that seemingly paralyzed rational analysis and he brought issues like immigration, Islamist terror, trade inequities and America's geopolitical and economic impotence to the forefront.

But, like you, I want to hear his policies and strategic political plans to fix these issues.   It's time.  Saying "I'm Trump, I'm a winner" and calling his opponents ugly, stupid or crooked isn't enough for me and shouldn't be enough for any thoughtful and patriotic American.

Agreed. However, Donald Trump doesn't do Wonk. He tugs on emotional strings. And I'm not so sure that if one is trying to get elected president that that's not a bad strategy. I think most people vote for the person, not a 17-point plan.

I can't guess what will happen in NH. One one hand there are still some cold hard-headed yankees living there that are pretty conservative, but on the other hand they have been picking up lefitst tax refugees from the rest of the NE for the last several years.

Trump will really appeal to the lefties who will identify with a denizen of NYC,but probably not to the older life-long residents.

I don't see Cruz winning there. Maybe Trump, but most likely Rubio because he has kissed the rings. Trump may come in 2nd because of the name recognition.

I can see Cruz winning SC,though.

That's actually his most endearing quality.  No fear.

And, not on purpose..., speaking in 'Text' language.  Or, "Twitter" language.  Short bursts that a ten year old could understand.

Even this challenging the Iowa results shows that he's not going to accept a stolen election, like Mitt Romney did.  And that puts the DEMS and media on notice.

His brashness will come in handy well before this is over.

Donald Trump knows how to jump on a learning curve. He's already adapted his campaign to a new circumstance: coming in second. When he rolled into Exeter, NH he began by meeting with business leaders to talk economic concerns. More retail politicking and more one-on-one contacts--his strong suit. He's very gracious in person.

I disagree. Contrary to popular belief, Donald Trump doesn't pander. He's not going to promise something just for the sake of promising it. It must be an agenda item he is serious about. No empty promises.

I've noticed the change, too.  I'm am pleased with this shift AND the terrific response he's receiving from the people.  CNN aired a DT "town hall" held in a diner in NH last night.  Trump took questions from the audience and Anderson Cooper.  I was prepared to cringe, but it was wonderful to watch.  Trump spoke some details, took criticism with remarkable good humor, didn't take the bait about Cruz and won over the people attending--even those on the fence.

He also had similar get together, although a bit more formal, with police.  The summation was said best by one of the officers in attendance:  "Trump's the only one who has always remembered us and supported us.  He's our guy".
