She's beautiful, Millee.

No...currently have no pets.  Never had a dog as a pet.  My life career found me away from my home much of the day.

But I have served as staff for a feline or three.

Yesterday, I rescued a Himalayan/Persian mix dark grey 3 year-old cat.

On one of my nightly..."Get up to pee" moments last night, I found the door to my hall bath almost closed.   Open it up and she's there 'sleeping' in the sink.

This morning, she's 'missing' and I can't find her anywhere.   I've looked EVERYWHERE!  Under beds, inside closets, behind furniture.   GONE!

Called my cat lady friend and she said as long as you have water, food and little box (which she's used), she'll show up.

Seeing as how it's only a two-bedroom with a large loft, there's no place I've haven't checked.

WTF???

Found her under my shoe rack shelves in the corner of my closet.  Hooray!

I've had them hide like that on me - I could swear I've looked everywhere and then, there they are - looking at me like, "I've been here the whole time".

Here's my new little kitten, found her under my deck.  She's really sweet, when she's not grabbing my ankle and gnawing on it with really sharp little teeth.  Her name is Lilibet.

Missing Pomeranian found dead with note: ‘We beat it 2 death lol’

By Associated Press

August 11, 2015 | 2:31pm

Ronald Boisvert's dog Fox went missing from his south Florida condominium on Aug. 7 Photo: AP

MIAMI — The beating death of a Pomeranian named Fox may have been eclipsed by the hand-written note left behind: “We beat it 2 death lol HAHAHA!”

Fox’s owner says the 13-year-old dog’s body was discovered by a “frantic” neighbor outside the owner’s condominium less than 24 hours after Fox disappeared. The note was on top of the dog.

Pembroke Pines Police are looking for the attackers. The owner, Ronald Boisvert, says he doesn’t know why anyone would want to hurt Fox.

Dr. Ron Ridge, a veterinarian, says Fox had 10 broken ribs, missing teeth and a broken back. The vet says Fox was likely kicked to death.

Fox’s owner said the dog vanished Friday afternoon after his girlfriend took him outside. The neighbor found Fox on Saturday.

I'm very sorry. There are few things I've ever had to do that were more painful; perhaps none. It does get better with time.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Sorry Dexter.  I know how much that hurts.   034

The part that tore me up was having to decide how much money I was willing to spend to try to save him. The vet couldn't figure it out after I spent $1,000 trying to get a diagnosis. He told me saving him could very easily cost over $6,000 after everything was said and done and I just can't afford that. Lack of green paper prevented me from saving the life of a friend.

Been there.  A small comfort to me is my belief that I'll see my beloved pets again someday on the other side of that bridge - that they'll be the first ones to greet me.

"It aint what you don't know that kills you.  It's what you know that aint so!" ...Theodore Sturgeon
