No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

How many of us have known that pain...repeatedly but always go back for more because of everything that happens before the pain. Ah shit there's something wrong with my monitor it's all blurry and wet looking.

@Kamaji

Not to mention heat and roofs. Maybe cave or thatch roofs at first,but still,roofs.

Dogs ain't stupid,although I am positive many of them have voted Dim,even if they didn't know it.

@Kamaji

I had a pet male racoon when I was a kid. We found him sitting near his mother,who had been ran over while trying to cross a road.

VERY affectionate and VERY smart,and he loved to play. Everything was fine until my bleep father decided a racoon shouldn't be living in the house,and build a small cage for him in the back yard.

Which meant he was a magnet for the city dogs,who showed up to snarl and bark at him all day. He finally got mad enough he broke out of the cage and took an eye out of a German Shepherd,and hurt another dog before the dogs wised up this wasn't a deformed cat they were dealing with,and hauled ass.

Because of this and threats of having us arrested for having a wild animal in the city,my bleep father took him back out to where we found him,and let him loose.

And the whole damn thing was my father's fault,from the beginning to the end.

We had a "found" cat that thought he was a dog. Would fetch,, sit, speak, etc.... Not a cat person, but I loved that little bugger.

@Kamaji

I have a long-haired female "Sylvester" cat that sleeps like that. I always jokingly referred to her as my "guard cat".

The first time the rescue squad came to the house to take me to the hospital,she jumped between me and the ER guys and snarled at them. She seemed to think they were threatening me and was trying to defend me. I picked her up,petted her,and put her down behind me,and she was fine after that.

I don't know who was more surprised,me or the Rescue Squad people.

@Kamaji

I posted this earlier on another thread,but it fits here,too.

The first time the EMS crew came into my house to load me in an ambulance,my VERY tame "rescue cat" that someone abandoned in my yard,and who is THE friendliest cat I have ever seen,ran between me and the EMS crew and snarled at them.

Freaked us all out.

I had to pick her up and pet her to calm her down,and everything was ok after that.
