I remember seeing a trillium in middle school as part of a field trip to the local vocational center. We did a nature hike and I remember the man telling me that they only bloom once every two years. That was two decades ago at this point. I'm honestly surprised I hadn't seen one in bloom since then, because I've walked that trail almost every day for years now.

It's not so much their relative rarity as it is that they are very delicate flowers. Break off one piece and they likely die, so populations can decline quite rapidly.

My concern would be that should they ever make the playoffs, the NFL referees would ensure a win was impossible in a close game.

I've changed the name of the thread to something old and familiar, someplace where you go spend time with good friends, drinking good wine, or maybe hot cocoa, all the while haring a good joke, or one of those comfortable silences that can only happen when all who surround you are good friends.




   @DCPatriot The original Thread Mission Statement (above) does not seem to preclude my whacky images nor politics which you got on me about last week.  If you don't like this $hit quite coming in here.
