I was fortunate to have caught him TWICE in concert...during the "CHANGES" era. His voice was mesmerizing.

A few years back, my younger brother flew in for Christmas and brought us all gifts.

Everybody got some real cool stuff, as did I, but I was surprised.

He gifted me a 3-cd set I’d never seen before, from ELP titled Return of The Manticore. Great CD, but it was open.

He gifted me a used CD.

I thought maybe something he picked up at a resale place or yard sale. Great CD.

Years later, at another Christmas, something about regifting came up in conversation, and I jokingly accused him of doing it with that CD set.

He said “Are you serious? I stood in line outside a record store (that shows you how long ago that was) for hours to get those signed for you.

HOLY SHIT!

What I thought was art work on the CD’s label, is an autograph from each member of the band!

I have that set!  Some previously un-released cuts on it, like the ELP version of 21st Century Schizoid Man!
