Former DNC vice chair David Hogg warns moderate Democrats that they have the wrong values

Hogg made waves last year for launching a $20 million effort that supports more than a dozen primary challenges against Democratic members of Congress he accused of being asleep at the wheel.

Former Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg warned moderate Democrats on Thursday that they "don't have the right values," and need to fall in line with their voter base as the party sees a rise in socialist candidates.

Hogg made the sharp criticism after "The Source" host Kaitlan Collins asked the rising Democratic star what he would tell moderates concerned that progressive nominees could struggle against Republicans in general elections.

"The reason why the establishment of our party is being defeated over and over and over again is because they don't have the right values that are aligned with, not the Democratic base, but the American people," Hogg said. "Where people are sick and tired of listening to Democrats and tell them all the reasons why they can't solve their problems."

Hogg made waves last year for launching a $20 million effort to support more than a dozen primary challenges against Democratic members of Congress he accused of being asleep at the wheel, though he had fallen a little short, having raised only about $15 million between 2023 and last October.

The former DNC official believes that some Democrats are not fighting hard enough against the Trump administration and said he has been looking to find the best of his generation to run against incumbents, though he is focusing on “effectiveness rather than age."

Democrats have struggled to unify the party after the 2024 election  .  .  .

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Jim Jones was a socialist Democrat.
