A Houston funeral home director accused of stealing a dead man’s estate stormed out of the Harris County criminal courthouse Friday morning, claiming to be a “celebrity” who had nothing to say — then quickly changed course and started hurling insults.
Unique Green is accused of posing as the wife of Lawrence Gammon after his death last summer and allegedly forging paperwork to claim his estate, which included his home, vehicles, and retirement accounts.
Green was hired by Gammon’s family to handle his funeral arrangements, according to records, but they grew suspicious after not receiving the services they paid for and sharing his personal information documents over email. ...
