They watched him spend years pretending to represent one of the most conservative states in America while siding with the same establishment machine his voters sent him to the Swamp to fight. So, they fired him.
That should have ended the nightmare, right?
Wrong.
Cornyn could’ve accepted his fate, learned a lesson, and finished his term with some crumb of dignity and quietly planned for whatever lucrative lobbying gig awaits failed establishment Republicans like him.
But he didn’t do that. Instead, he’s decided that if Texas voters no longer want him, he’ll spend his remaining months sabotaging the president they overwhelmingly elected.
Cornyn has no mandate to obstruct President Trump. Quite the opposite, actually. The voters have made that painfully clear. Yet he’s now helping stall Trump’s agenda, standing in the way of the SAVE Act, fighting the proposed fund for J6 defendants who were victims of government weaponization, and holding up Todd Blanche’s confirmation as attorney general.
And this guy calls himself a “Republican.”
It’s a really vengeful performance from a man whose embarrassing political career has been pronounced dead by the people he represents.
Cornyn seems to believe that losing his primary somehow liberated him to really go off the rails and become the official spokesman for every RINO hiding behind him.
