Quote:
During an interview with ABC News on Monday, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said, “we’ve got a lot of wonderful Haitians in my state. I’ve always supported…their opportunity to be here. You can’t do it under TPS, because under TPS, it’s a temporary program. So, we’ve got to fix the whole system of immigration to help them.” And the system has to be fixed so “we can vet people, and then have a system where the people who want to live our dreams can stay here.”

I will never vote for this SOB again!!!

I can see letting the Cubans in who got here by converting a 1950s vintage pickup into a boat to cross to Florida and who had the gumption to make the trip, but 'poor' Haitians who managed to somehow get the money together to bring their brand of governmental corruption here? Not so much. It makes me wonder who is funding them.
As in all things, follow the money, because at the wallet, you will find motive.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
