A Dangerous Miscalculation: Underestimating American Resolve

Published reports suggest that China is inundating its citizens with stories that America is on the decline, inferring that the rest of this century is China's for the taking.

It would be wise for China to read up on global history: those who have mistaken America's raucous domestic debates for weakness often find themselves shocked and defeated.

Time and again, adversaries have looked at the United States — loud, divided, seemingly distracted — and concluded that it lacked the stamina or strength for a prolonged fight. Time and again, they have been proven wrong — very wrong.

Imperial Japan during WW II offers one example. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who knew America well, reportedly feared that the attack on Pearl Harbor would "awaken a sleeping giant." His warning went unheeded by Tokyo, whose leaders believed a decadent, isolationist democracy would sue for peace after a knockout blow. Instead, the attack unified a fractured nation overnight. Within four years, American industry would be completing more than 70 new warships every week and Japanese cities would be unrecognizable.

Don't mistake our politicians as being representative of the average American.

Our political class are the some of the most corrupt and weakest members of our society.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

Yamamoto also warned that behind every blade of grass in the United States, lurks a rifle barrel.  Despite the Democrats' best efforts, that's more true than ever!

Yamamoto studied here, and understood us better than Tojo and Hirohito, the semi-divine Emperor of Nippon.  Heck, he understood us better than the entire Democrat Party ever did!

That's true all over the world.  The UK is on the verge of collapse because of it's weak-willed Parliament.  Iran is also on the verge of collapse because they thought our weak Congress could stop that crazy cowboy Donald Trump.

Note half of them are lawyers.

That population needs significant reduction to reflect the citizens they represent.

That is one type of diversity I can support.

In Arizona, a former Sheriff just won a Primary for Congress in a Red district.
