Former FBI Official Boasted of ‘Running a Shadow Government,’ Declassified Texts Show

The explosive text message from former FBI Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Nikki Floris was included among documents declassified last week by President Donald Trump.
“I’m basically running a shadow government across the FBI at this point,” Floris wrote in late September 2020, just weeks before Election Day.
At the time, Floris was leading the FBI’s Foreign Interference Task Force and was involved in efforts to recall an intelligence report alleging that China was producing fake driver’s licenses to facilitate fraudulent mail-in votes for then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
