DSA Just Said It Out Loud - Strike Down Constitutional Ban on Foreign Presidents, Get Mamdani in the White House

 By Randy DeSoto
  July 14, 2026 at 4:00am

A democratic socialist podcast host called for his party to make amending the Constitution a top priority so that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani can make a bid for the White House.

“DSA should push for a constitutional amendment so naturalized citizens can run for President. Then we do what’s so clearly in front of us: Zohran Mamdani / Melat Kiros ticket,” Deep Singh Badhesha posted on social media on Saturday.

Kiros is the DSA candidate who defeated 15-term incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette for Colorado’s 1st congressional district last month.

Her victory came amid a sweep of Mamdani-endorsed candidates in New York the previous week, who ousted two incumbent Democrats, including Rep. Dan Goldman, and won a third primary in which the incumbent did not seek re-election.

Thankfully, for the cause of liberty in the United States, it is difficult to pass a constitutional amendment.

Better really tighten voting machines, counting, people, and everything associated with the process to make sure votes are as honest as they can possibly be.

The US Constitution is an antithesis to and repudiation of European monarchies of that era.

The reasoning for the ban on foreign-born Presidents ... aside from privileged white northwestern-European Christian imperialist male slaveholder xenophobia ... that European peoples were subjects of unelected foreign kings and queens ... Britain was ruled by German princes ... Russia was ruled by a German queen ... they did not want the same for their new nation.

American Independence would mean that Americans would rule their own country, not foreign sovereigns.  They did not want America to be re-colonized nor be a vassal state to a foreign power.

The Founders were concerned that foreign-born Executives would have foreign loyalties that could lead to foreign entanglements and to wars of foreign adventure.

The Founders wanted an independent and self-reliant nation free of foreign intrigues.

Modern intellectual elites would argue that reasoning is antiquated since the age of Absolute Monarchies is over.  I counter with ... Napoleon was Corsican (Italian, Tuscan), Hitler was Austrian, Stalin was Georgian, the British put a foreign prince on the throne of Iraq after WWI ... disctatorships and totalitarian regimes are the absolute monarchies of our day.

They'd like to eliminate the Constitution altogether, not just amend it. Amending it is too much bother. Violent revolution is the only way, baby! Start building the gulag.
I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

The US Constiution does not enumerate the rights of the People; it enumerates the rights that the People have bestowed upon the Government.

To eliminate the US Constitution is to open the door to Government without limits.

Exactly what the communists want, for as long as they're not on the receiving end of the oppression.

Not long after zombie-mammi was elected (may have even been before) I put up a "Fishrrman prediction" post to this topic.

I'll repeat. Please read all the way through to the end before you click to comment.

At some point in the future, I believe zombie-mammi will try a run for the presidency. He may need to be elected senator or governor in New York state first. It will be a close contest, but he'll win either of those seats (hey, it's New York).

When he declares for the presidency, of course the cries of "not a natural-born citizen!" will be raised.
That's to be expected.

What WON'T be "expected" is what will happen next:
Up to the podium walks none less than b. hussein obama.
And he will state, to wit:
"I, too, am NOT a "natural-born citizen", and I have been elected president twice. As such, that part of the Constitution is now moot, and null-and-void".

There will be moans, cries and screams from the right.
But -- as usual -- they will do NOTHING about it.

And the zombie-mammi campaign for president will go forward.
I'm not predicting he will win.
But he DOES stand a very good chance at running.

That's my prediction and I'm stickin' to it.
So give it your best shot... I'm easy to knock over.
