Which States Produce The Most Food In America?

Using the latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), this graphic, via Visual Capitalist's Dorothy Neufeld, ranks every state by its agricultural production value in 2024.

I'll note that the graphic depicts all agricultural activity, not just for food.

E.G - 57% of Iowa's corn crop is devoted to ethanol.

The midwest is the breadbasket of the world.  Too bad asswipes coastal elites think they are just a bunch of uneducated rubes in need of being ruled by blue state elected officials who want to eliminate of the EC.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

And if it didn't, corn would be less than $3 a bushel, and most farmers broke.
The Republic is lost.

Per capita, the Dakotas lead the pack.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Perhaps some need to die off rather than sucking off the tit of others, producing a product that damages us rather than feed us, and also makes us weaker.

The extraordinary prices of farmland there would certainly go down, which should be a good thing as they are propped up artificially.

BTW, I also am in the agricultural business as I raise cattle and grow hay, and know first hand the cost of fertilizer, heavy equipment and markets.  And I do not take subsidies as I plow through a tough way to earn money.

We tried that during the Rust Belt and we never recovered.

Henry Ford set the buggy whip industry back quite a bit and the country survived. End the boondoggles! Every last one of them!
Scientists, like all discoverers of truth, have always asked, "What?” “How?” “Why?” “What if?” and “Why not?” Questioning science is science.
