As Gomer Pyle would have said:  "Citizen's arreeest."  This falls under separation of Church and State.  To force the government to do something which is clearly Christian amounts to establishing a State religion. :amen:

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
This may be a nation largely founded on Christian principles, but we are under absolutely no Constitutional obligation to follow the clergy in matters of government. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's...

We have the freedom to worship as we choose BECAUSE we have established the secular rules that protect his country from being overrun by those who would take that freedom from us.

Constitutional guarantees mean nothing to many who are already here, opening the gates to more will not reinforce those guarantees, rather, we now deal with contempt for our Constitution and way of life from many who were brought in contrary to the law.

Not even the church will be able to provide sanctuary for believers if those we let in willy-nilly without vetting destroy our way of life.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
