Stupid townies. 'Oh wow man, I didn't think dude could be so unpredictable!'. As if it's the buffalo's fault.

It's a wild animal, doing what it does. When an animal that big and fast gets squirrelly, you move away quickly. Likely, you should have never been there in the first place.

I think the more detailed story said he was tossed about 8ft and seriously injured...

The only surprise to me is that it wasn't an Asian the bull got after.

They seem to be #1 target of bison.

If that big brown box is a dumpster, I'm surprised (well sorta) that the fellow didn't dive in. I'd rather smell like garbage and even old diapers than get hit. That little bit of steel could make a difference (but it likely will get dented up).

Bison are ornery critters, anyway, and screwing around in the vicinity of a bull isn't the path to a long and happy life. That one had already invaded a picnic area, and wasn't even just ambling about.
