Fuhgeddaboudit!

Mayor Zohran Mamdani caught some Italian heat Wednesday after releasing a map of the Big Apple’s ethnic enclaves that includes places like Little Palestine — but ignores historic Little Italy and other notable Irish and Jewish immigrant nabes.

The map, titled “New York City Immigrant Enclaves,” highlights 30 areas across the five boroughs, ranging from Koreatown in Manhattan to Little Pakistan in Brooklyn and Little Yemen in The Bronx.

But critics were quick to roast the socialist mayor for overlooking the city’s very own “original Little” — a nationally recognized historic district that brought you everything from meatballs to the mafia. ...

Little Palestine and Little Bangladesh, but no Little Italy.

He needs to be swimming with the fishes.

The problem with identity politics is that, by its nature, is exclusionary by ignoring those who are not identified.

Ignoring or dismissing some person or group is a "slight" (unspoken insult).  "Slights" are the seeds of resentment.

He did include the Polacks and the Ruskies, but left out Micks, Guineas, and Puerto Ricans.  J. Lo, Rosie Ruiz, and Erik Estrada fans will be most upset.

The good news for Puerto Ricans, they've finally achieved equity with the Anglos.  They are American enough and white enough to no longer be considered an oppressed minority.  Enjoy your new White Privilege, my freakin' Rican friends.  I look forward to seeing you on St Patrick's Day.

Pissing off NYC Italians?

Yeah, that's a winning strategy.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.
