Last night [ Sunday 07/26/2026 ] on Fox, Mark Lavin's opening remarks succinctly defines how Iran operates & why.

The 12er sect that governs Iran has one goal: to take Islam under the 12th Imam to the entire world, destroying anything that conflicts with their views, including all those who would rise up against them, just as Khomeini did when he assumed full power, with the execution of 100s of thousands of Iranians who could have stood as opposition.

Destroying the US and Israel is a matter of state policy by any means necessary with the nuclear option being the preferred means to kill millions of Americans at a time.

The IRGC and all other true believers are willing to accept any amount of suffering to achieve their goal. And that goal is what they believe they were born to accomplish with an unshakable faith.

[ I hope someone can find the clip of his opening remarks for that show and post them here. ]

-------------------

The Mahdi will only reappear when he smells enough blood, then he will climb out of the Well where has lived since 874AD. Bringing him back is the reason why Iran slaughters so many people. Hundreds of thousands is too small a number; they need to kill millions. Hence, nuclear weapons, which they are actively seeking to buy and use as quickly as possible.

Leave one Believer alive and the process will rebuild. To end this scourge of the earth, they all must be killed to the last man, woman, child.

‘Far More Than We Need’: Trump Dismisses Claims U.S. Is Short on Munitions in Iran Fight

President Donald Trump dismissed reports that the United States is running short on munitions for the conflict with Iran, telling the Wall Street Journal on Sunday that the U.S. military has “far more munitions than anyone in the world, and far more than we need” as his administration continued weighing diplomacy alongside the possibility of renewed military escalation.

Oil prices are set by bid in the trading pits. It is a globally traded commodity.

Like Gold, it isn't appreciably cheaper in one part of the world than another.

We don't have a shortage, but that doesn't keep the price from being affected by others who do.

I would still expect a little display of Patriotism from our domestic refineries, especially given the Democrats are totally against fossil fuel in general.

Pentagon moves to rebuild missile stockpiles as Iran war strains US arsenal

The Pentagon announced new seven-year production agreements Monday as concerns mount over funding and depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles after years of arms transfers to Ukraine, missile-defense operations in the Middle East and the expanding Iran war.

The conflicts broke out or intensified during former President Joe Biden’s term, while critics and government watchdogs warned that insufficient production capacity was leaving the military unable to replace weapons quickly enough.

A Government Accountability Office report found that billions in supplemental funding were needed to replenish arms sent to Ukraine.

“Rebuilding the Arsenal of Freedom requires moving with speed and precision to scale the production of critical munitions,” Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment Michael Duffey said.

The agreements with L3Harris and Lockheed Martin will expand production of propulsion components for PAC-3 MSE and THAAD interceptors, which are used to defend American forces and allies against ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft.

L3Harris said the PAC-3 deal could nearly triple its production capacity.

The announcement did not disclose a price tag, leaving Congress and the administration to confront how much additional Pentagon funding will be needed to rebuild an arsenal strained by multiple wars and years of neglecting weapons-production capacity.

Fox News' Liz Friden contributed to this report.

Gordon Chang: China wants Trump, US tied down in Iran war

China wants to protect Iran and see the President Donald Trump “tied down and humiliated” in the conflict, foreign policy expert Gordon Chang warned Monday.

"President Trump is trying to entice the Chinese and the Russians not to get involved," Chang told “Mornings with Maria.” "And this was after Secretary of War Hegseth saying that China was enabling Iran. And Hegseth was right about that.

"Trump tried to soft play that, you know, I don't know how the Chinese are going to react, but certainly they want to see us humiliated there.

"They want to protect Iran, their proxy. So they want that oil out of the region as well. So they're going to be really in very difficult right now. And I think Trump's going to have his hands full, especially when XI Jinping comes to Washington on the 24th of September."

Trump posts AI 'Strike on Kharg' image in warning to Iran

President Donald Trump has historically said he would never signal what he is going to do militarily before he does it – although he has used threats on striking Iranian targets as a leveraging tool for peace.

Now, he is spilling the beans with a Truth Social post titled "Strike on Kharg."

Kharg Island has been talked about as a key Strait of Hormuz asset for Iran and a potential strategic target for a Trump takeover to help reopen the key oil shipping that has been attacked by Iran.

That Kharg post followed a series of Trump Truth Social image posts threatening to strikes Iranian oil tankers and nuclear sites and hailing the U.S. military as "guardian Angels of the world."

I don't think Trump will move on Kharg Island when it would be easier to bomb the electrical plants that power the pumps that feed the island.  Iran has troops on Kharg.

Bombing Kharg won't change Iranian regime's behavior, nor open the Strait of Hormuz.

Covert, clandestine, and contracted parties need to start killing Houthis and IRGC.

Iran Says It Still Controls Strait, Not Seeking Talks, After Trump Halts Bombing

Monday, 27 July 2026 07:50 AM EDT

Iran said on Monday it was still in control of the Strait of Hormuz and not seeking to resume peace talks with the United States, after President Donald Trump halted a two-week bombing campaign that his top brass told him had run its course.

Following 13 successive nights of intensifying bombing that provoked Tehran to fire on U.S. bases in response, Trump halted the campaign over the weekend.

Iran said it would pause its own attacks for as long as the U.S. pause in bombing endures.

Trump's decision to suspend the campaign reflected advice from his top brass that ‌the bombing, aimed at breaking Iran's grip on strait, had reached the limits of what it could achieve, according to a U.S. official and widespread U.S. media reports.

The U.S. official told Reuters that military commanders had advised the president that they were running out of targets. The official said the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, had also expressed concern over the depletion of air defense weapons used to protect U.S. bases in the region.

Similar reports indicating that civilian and military aides had advised Trump to halt the campaign were carried over the weekend by The New York Times, CNN, Axios, and other news outlets.

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, said on Sunday Trump had paused the campaign to allow room for negotiations.

But the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, said in a televised press conference on Monday that Iran had not asked to resume peace talks with the United States.

OK, Trump is an incompetent moron.

“Incompetent moron” is certainly a fascinating diagnosis to apply to a man who built a multibillion-dollar business empire, became a household name worldwide, won the presidency twice, reshaped the Supreme Court, and continues to dominate the political conversation years after the experts assured us he was finished.

One wonders what the standard for competence might be. Perhaps only someone who loses billions, never wins elections, and disappears into a think tank after a failed prediction qualifies as truly brilliant.

Of course, disagreeing with Trump is perfectly legitimate. Criticizing his policies, his style, or his decisions is part of political debate. But calling a successful businessman, media figure, and twice-elected president an “incompetent moron” requires a rather creative definition of both “incompetent” and “moron.”

At some point, the insult begins revealing more about the person using it than the person receiving it.

America's Foreign Policy and Intelligence folks are unimaginative.  Bombing, by itself, has never won a conflict.  They've invested too little in human intelligence.

American Administrations have concentrated too much faith, too much investment, and too much risk in low-cost, low-reward high-tech foreign policy and intelligence tools.

Sometimes, you just need human assets on the ground to blow-up caves with satchel charges, to clear tunnels using flamethrowers, and put in bullet in someone's brain in a place they feel safe and untouchable ... or use exploding pagers to blow-up their gonads.

Supposedly Mitch is out of the hospital and in a rehab facility, but has not be cleared to return to the Senate.

There is no reason why the people of Kentucky endure not having a representative for the next few months as he is almost dead and is giving up his seat.

If Mitch did his job, he would step down immediately.

I would still expect a little display of Patriotism from our domestic refineries, especially given the Democrats are totally against fossil fuel in general.
The competition is between our domestic refineries and elsewhere, in the same pits, for contracts for delivery of 10,000 barrels of oil. Domestic refineries bid like anyone else, and some are set up for different grades of crude oil. Patriotism doesn't enter into it, the industry is overwhelmingly patriotic, but it isn't a charity, either. Feedstock costs will be reflected in product prices.
If you wanted patriotism, perhaps some of the states out there loading on outrageous taxes at the pump could slack off that...but there are votes to buy, too!

Around 3:25 AM on Tuesday, Isfahan - Security forces are pushing back the crowd and families of political prisoners from the area around the execution site. Officers are threatening the protesting crowd with weapons. From all sides, the sounds of families' cries can be heard. One officer, addressing the mother of one of the prisoners who was crying, said in a resentful and mocking tone, "Learn to cry better..."

Update from Isfahan, Iran, after 3 political prisoners were executed then clashes erupted:

According to the latest reports as of 4:40 AM on Tuesday, as the morning call to prayer began, people started chanting and throwing stones towards the security forces.

The protests then began with the chant "You are dishonorable," and eventually, security forces and plainclothes officers dispersed the crowd by firing shotguns, using stun guns, firing warning shots, using batons, and deploying tear gas.

The number of arrests and injuries is currently unknown, and clashes are still ongoing.

Given that the clashes began and the crowd was dispersed during the morning call to prayer, ordinary citizens were unable to witness the execution. Therefore, at this time, I am unable to confirm or deny whether the execution actually took place.

Outstanding point and post.

I am warming up to the emerging tactic of destroying very select and precise targets and then letting the IRGC show the world just how barbaric and uncivilized they are and then hitting them again when they lash out.

Slow rolling regime change.  Breitbart has an article on the concept.

I will have to post it.

We hit them until oil gets to 100 per bbl then we negotiate with the non-IRGC leadership.

A passive aggressive ignoring and marginalizing of the IRGC as the Iranian populace grows increasingly more powerful.

REAL regime change without foreign troops.

The down side is that the IRGC will be very entrenched.

Trump Says U.S. in ‘Very Deep Talks’ with Iran — Warns of ‘Strong Military Action’ if Diplomacy Fails

President Donald Trump said Monday the United States is engaged in “very deep talks” with Iran but warned Washington is prepared to resume “very strong military action” if diplomacy fails, saying he agreed to pause plans to expand the U.S. military campaign to give negotiations another opportunity.

Mediators say US, Iran are close to reviving their MOU: report

Mediators of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East believe the U.S. and Iran are close to a deal that would resurrect the failed memorandum of understanding, according to The Times of Israel.

The outlet, citing an Arab official and another source familiar with the discussions, reported that negotiators from Pakistan, Egypt and Qatar have been working on clarifying how the Strait of Hormuz will operate.

Iran was under the impression that the MOU, which was signed in June and led to a brief ceasefire, gave it broad control over the Strait, something the U.S. contests.

Iran and Oman — both of which are situated on the Strait of Hormuz — have reportedly signed off on the proposal advanced by the mediators.

The two sources said the White House was waiting to make a decision until after President Donald Trump meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

U.S. Central Command announced on Tuesday it is forming a first-of-its-kind task force with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that will accelerate "the development of military artificial intelligence applications."

Task Force Talon Synapse, based in Abu Dhabi, will have "20 American and Emirati personnel with expertise in AI, data, and cybersecurity," according to a release from CENTCOM.

The U.S. has enjoyed normal relations with the UAE since 1971, and the two nations are now allied against Iran in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“This will be a historic milestone as we work with one of our most capable regional partners to rapidly deliver evolving AI advancements to our warfighters,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM's commander. “Together, we and our Emirati partners share a strong commitment to adopting AI applications that will foster innovation at speed and scale.”

CENTCOM said Cooper and UAE National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the idea of potentially forming the task force last year.

The idea took shape last month when CENTCOM officials met with AI industry leaders and Emirati defense officials.

The task force is expected to launch in the coming weeks, CENTCOM said.

President Donald Trump said on "Fox & Friends" that the U.S. Space Force knows "exactly what's going on" at Pickaxe Mountain thanks to the military branch having "the greatest cameras in the world" trained on the nuclear facility.

"I know exactly what's going on at Pickaxe. It's not a big problem. We took out their nuclear sites and we'll have to take out Pickaxe. If we don't make a deal, we don't make a deal. We'll take it out very easily," Trump said.

Trump also appeared to criticize Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for announcing Iran's intentions with Pickaxe Mountain "to the world."

"I heard Bibi announced that. I said, 'why don't you just tell it to me? Why do you have to announce it to the world?' Trump said.

The Islamic regime publicly hanged two protesters arrested during the January demonstrations in Alikhani Square in Isfahan on Tuesday morning, sparking renewed public outrage, according to the country’s judicial media and footage of the event circulating online among dissident circles.

The two protesters were named by Mizan news agency as Amirhossein Safari and Abolfazl Sepahi, who were alleged to have attacked police officers “with machetes and knives, tying them to road signs, pulling them on the ground, dousing them with gasoline, and setting them on fire” on January 8, the same day that four members of Iran’s security forces were allegedly killed by protesters in the square.

Human rights groups estimate that more than 30,000 people were killed by the Islamic regime during the December and January protests. Tehran, however, has claimed that foreign-backed rioters were responsible for the deaths of 3,117 people, including 427 members of the security forces.

https://twitter.com/Osint613/status/2081904875852484717

There are numerous reports that the Islamic Republic frequently conditioned the return of victims’ bodies for burial on bereaved families accepting the state’s narrative.

Families were allegedly forced to sign statements claiming that rioters had caused the deaths or that the deceased had been members of the Basij paramilitary.

OK

But that has nothing to do with the point I was making that the Iranian leadership understands and knows what’s going on in the US politically
