President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is close to deciding whether to order a “massive attack” on Iran “bigger than ever before,” as the United States expands its military campaign against the Islamic Republic, reinforces its force posture across the region, and warns Tehran that further escalation will bring increasingly severe consequences.

“I am considering a massive attack. Bigger than ever before. I am close to making a decision. We are all set for it,” Trump told Axios, describing a potential operation that the outlet reported would exceed the scale of Operation Epic Fury, the U.S. campaign that began alongside Israel earlier this year.

Trump’s remarks came as the United States entered its second week of intensified military operations against Iran following attacks on commercial shipping and continued regional escalation. CENTCOM has maintained sustained pressure on Iranian military infrastructure while the Pentagon has reinforced U.S. capabilities in the region, underscoring the administration’s ability to broaden the campaign should Trump ultimately authorize a larger operation.

The president said Iran has expressed interest in negotiations but has yet to reach the point where it is is prepared to accept Washington’s terms, telling Axios the regime “hasn’t received enough pain yet.” Trump added that Israel would join a new round of strikes “in two minutes” if he requested its participation while emphasizing that the United States does not require additional military assistance to carry out a broader operation.

Trump also stressed that he has not yet made a final decision. Two U.S. officials told Axios that no new military orders have been issued and that the president has not yet directed the Pentagon to begin preparations for an expanded offensive.

Yes it would: all the iodine in the country would be used up due to the fallout patterns, and all the burn wards in the US full of patients with 3d degree burns. Not to mention the millions of dead, and the centuries before any of those sites would be habitable - think the TV show "Fallout".

Explosions were heard across multiple parts of Iran on Thursday after the U.S. military launched another wave of strikes targeting Iranian military capabilities, according to local media.

An explosion was heard on the southern coast of Qeshm Island, Iran's state broadcaster reported, according to Reuters.

The outlet also said multiple explosions were reported in the southern city of Ahvaz, according to Iran's Fars News Agency.

A separate explosion was heard west of the port city of Bandar Abbas, Iran's state broadcaster reported, also according to Reuters.

Iran flew IRGC commanders, advisers and munitions to Yemen to support Houthi terrorists: report

Iran reportedly flew Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders, military advisors and munitions to Yemen to assist the Houthi terrorists in attacking vessels in the Red Sea, Reuters reported, citing Yemen's information minister.

The IRGC made the delivery on a July 13 flight from Tehran to Yemen's Red Sea port city Hodeidah, Reuters reported, also citing three other sources, including two Iranian sources.

Between 10 and 21 IRGC personnel, including IRGC commanders, were on the flight.

The IRGC brought the Houthi rebels gold to fund the attacks.

Houthi spokesman Abdel Rahman al-Ahnomi, who was on the flight, denied the report as "lies and fabrications," claiming all the flight's passengers were civilians.

The news corroborates statements Secretary of State Marco Rubio made Wednesday.

"They decided to send direct flights from Tehran into Yemen, carrying IRGC elements and others into the country," Rubio told reporters. "And the Saudis responded to it."

The Houthis, an Iranian-backed terrorist group that have been at war with Yemen's government for over a decade, fired rockets at two Saudi Arabian oil tankers in the Red Sea on Thursday, opening a new front in the Iran war and sending global crude oil prices higher.

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior warned citizens to shelter in place as missile alarms rang in the small Persian Gulf state amid apparent strikes from Iran on Friday.

"The siren has been sounded, Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place," the Ministry of Interior wrote in a Friday morning X post.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for Friday attacks on Bahrain and issued a warning to other Gulf States through its media operations center on the social messaging platform Telegram.

"To all citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria: For your safety, you are urged to immediately stay away from military and security bases, facilities, and headquarters, as well as locations where U.S. forces are deployed. Do not approach any area witnessing military movements or exceptional security measures," the message read.

"Immediately maintain a distance of at least 500 meters (1,640 feet) from any covert or concealed accommodations used by U.S. military personnel," the message continued.

"These locations include American hotels, American banks, American companies, high-rise towers, properties owned by the Trump family, and investments associated with them," it concluded

Iran reportedly rejected a new cease-fire deal Thursday that was presented by Iraq’s prime minister on behalf of President Trump.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi – fresh off a White House visit and Oval Office meeting with Trump – brought the proposed deal with him to Tehran and presented it to top Iranian officials, who refused to entertain the proposal, according to the New York Times.

The terms of the rejected truce are unclear, but Iranian officials described it as the “only offer on the table” and a “temporary deal” that did not resolve the question of who would control the Strait of Hormuz, the outlet reported.

WSJ report finds extensive reconstruction at multiple locations; Israeli officials lament Tehran’s ability to quickly recover and retain ability to attack, question efficacy of strikes

Iran has managed to rebuild a significant amount of infrastructure destroyed during its war with the US and Israel in recent months, ranging from bridges to missile bases, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

The report, based on a review of satellite imagery, suggested that the speed at which Tehran is restoring its damaged capabilities is the reason why it is continuing to hold its own against the US after hostilities renewed earlier this month over disputes relating to the Strait of Hormuz.

One set of satellite images showed that an access road leading to an Iranian missile base had been damaged by strikes in early March, the Journal reported. Several weeks later, a newly paved road could be seen leading to the base’s entrance in Kangavar, western Iran, despite it having also been blocked by the strikes.

Other images obtained by the WSJ showed that as of early July, reconstruction efforts were underway at the Bandar Anzali port linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Israel said in March that it had caused significant damage to the port, an IRGC command center located there, and an adjoining shipyard.

Bahrain and Kuwait, Gulf states that have been targeted multiple times by Iranian missile strikes, secretly sent fighter jets to attack targets inside Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The United Arab Emirates provided intelligence on the targets and defensive air cover for the strikes, according to the report.

The airstrikes were carried out earlier this month and targeted drone and missile storage facilities, among other military sites.
