My mother from South Boston was not fond of Italians.
Good ol' fashion racism and bigotry is as Boston as hating the New York Yankees.
While anti-semitism is nothing new in Boston's blue blood institutions, like universities, the Hamas-loving is new ... and surprising for a city deeply effected by terrorism - Pan Am 103, 9/11, 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.
While Bostonians have hated each other, and everyone else, they love America ... except for the punks at the colleges and universities, and some in commie havens like Brookline and Cambridge.
Many people are looking to escape ... too damn expensive. Only college graduates with advanced degrees can afford to live here and raise families.
Also, the Chamber of Commerce is declaring every working-class downtown as "Cultural Districts" say they can socio-enomically cleanse the areas of deplorables to gentrify them and increase property values.
Nah, it's been that way for years from, No Jews need apply, no Irish need apply, to the busing crisis and white flight in the 70s. Bias is built into Boston's history and I write that as a native who spent 22 of my first 26 years there before escaping.
