Mamdani-Backed America-Hating Communist Candidates Sweep NYC Primaries

New York City is finished.
Rational Americans must not underestimate the Democratic Socialists of America. Otherwise DSA candidates will be elected across the country to all levels of government.
The DSA wing of the Democratic Party made a major play for power in New York City. Three radical DSA members were on the primary ballot, facing two powerful Democratic incumbents, and making a play for an open seat. All three were endorsed by Zohran Mamdani. Final results won’t be certain by the time this goes out, but the likeliest outcome is Mamdani’s candidates winning all three races. The only race in doubt is New York 13, with Mamdani’s candidate Chevalier taking out Espaillat, the current Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. It will be close. Washington Post: Mamdani has endorsed Brad Lander, the former city comptroller, over Rep. Dan Goldman in a district that stretches across Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn; Darializa Avila Chevalier, a doctoral student who participated in the pro-Palestine encampment at Columbia University, over Rep. Adriano Espaillat, chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, in a district that includes Upper Manhattan and parts of the Bronx; and state assemblywoman Claire Valdez over Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso in the race to replace Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez in a district that includes Brooklyn and Queens. The races now pose a test of Mamdani’s political power, putting him at odds with several national and local progressive power centers.
