New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) is taking the Democrat Party establishment head-on in the greatest test of his political clout since his unlikely election victory in November.

Maryland and Utah join New York in holding primaries Tuesday, with South Carolina holding primary runoffs.

But most political prognosticators are fixated on New York, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), whose political fortunes hang on maintaining control over their evolving, increasingly radical Democrat caucuses.

Mamdani, a democratic socialist, has endorsed three candidates for the House of Representatives, each cut from his Marxist cloth and representing a significant challenge to the power structure that enabled Jeffries and Schumer to rise to the upper echelons of party power.

In the Seventh Congressional District, Mamdani endorsed New York State Assemblymember Clair Valdez over Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, who is the preferred replacement for outgoing Rep. Nadia Velazquez (D-NY).

But Mamdani isn’t simply endorsing against the candidate preferred by outgoing Democrat representatives. He is taking on incumbent Democrats too.

The crowd at the Claire Valdez victory party chanted “you’re next” at Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries after all three Socialists won their Congressional races last night.
He has lost control over the party.
This is Mamdani’s Communist party now.

The left didn't like it when Lennon said no to violence. Violence and destruction is what NYC and other cities can expect under today's Democrat party. The question is whether they're going to reap what they sow.

Socialist Who Bragged About Wiping Her Hands On The American Flag Ousts Dem Congressman

Published 8 hours ago

on June 24, 2026

By Cullen McCue

Darializa Avila Chevalier, a 32-year-old community organizer and doctoral student who is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, won the Democratic Party primary for New York’s 13th Congressional District on Tuesday night. She defeated five-term incumbent Representative Adriano Espaillat, who received approximately 45.9 percent of the vote, while Chevalier secured about 49.4 percent.

Chevalier, who has worked as a community organizer and participated in pro-Palestinian activism, including events at Columbia University, is backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is also a self-described socialist. Mamdani’s backing included public appearances and mobilization of supporters through a ground campaign focused on turnout in the district, which covers parts of Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

Chevalier — who was one of three Mamdani-backed candidates to oust incumbent Democrat members of congress on Tuesday night — openly backs a number of far-left policies and has expressed disdain for the United States.

In a 2019 social media post that has since been deleted, Chevalier bragged about desecrating the American flag. “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me,” she wrote in the post, which was accompanied by a smiling emoji.

Hakeem Jeffries-backed candidates lose key primary races — as influx of socialists set to join Democratic leader in Congress
By Victor Nava
Published June 24, 2026, 5:30 a.m. ET

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) suffered a blow Tuesday night after far-left congressional hopefuls defeated his preferred candidates in three New York primary election races.

Wins by socialists Darializa Avila Chevalier and Claire Valdez in the Empire State’s 13th and 7th congressional districts, respectively, along with left Israel-critic Brad Lander’s victory in New York’s 10th District, could complicate Jeffries’ path to retaining the Democratic leadership post – and potentially the speakership – after the November midterm elections.

Jeffries endorsed defeated incumbent Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) for re-election in the 10th and 13th districts – both of whom had pledged to fall in line behind Jeffries if Democrats reclaimed the majority.

At this point the Rats aren't making gains, they're just shuffling deck chairs. I think it's far more of a threat to Jefferies leadership than anything.

And as these guys run, and especially if they get into Congress, it's gonna be a clown show. They may have NY locked down, but the effect won't be the same on the rest of the country. It may well backfire on them.

It may well backfire on them.

Ultimately, yes, but they'll do a lot of damage in the process, just like Obama did.

Well, look at what AOC, Tlaib, Omar, and their former "squad" have done to Congress.  We ignore the DSA rise at our own peril, just like the lefty poison that spewed out of our colleges and universities into the real world.  I remember being told to just ignore because it would be confined within those academic institutions, and everybody on the outside would just laugh at it.

Nobody's laughing now.

Gotham has fallen.

The mass exodus out of the New York will continue apace. I call it the Blue Exodus.

Last night’s sweep of Marxist Socialist candidates will further destroy New York City.

The virulent antisemitism in the Socialists’ campaigns is dangerous not only to Jews, but to every American. Because they are attacking the West.

If they continue to win, the American Dream and Western Civilization will fall. Wake up.

Dem is not big tent party ...

... Hillary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (2016 DNC Chair) rigged the 2016 Dem Primary ...

... the Dems halted their 2020 competitive primary after Biden won South Carolina because they wanted to consolidate support around one candidate (of their choosing) to defeat Trump ...

... in 2024, Biden annointed himself the Dem Nominee until Nancy Pelosi replaced him with Kamala Harris after George Clooney stated the obvious.

Dems have stifled competetition within their party to keep their Clinton-Obama Establishment in power.

The only people Dems help are illegal alien foreigners because they are key to juicing the 2030 US Census for House apportionment in the Dems' favors.

Dems have to import illegal alien foreign voters to their states because their anti-growth, anti-capitalist, anti-free-market-economy, enviro-loving limousine liberal policies have stifled organic population growth in their states.

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

More cities will fall

https://thelastwire.wordpress.com/2026/06/23/socialism-on-the-move/

Of that I have no doubt, especially the ones who let non-citizens vote.

The realpolitik is that they run the danger of depopulation, by flight or worse. Between redistricting, census shifts, and hopefully winning a couple or court cases, everything they're pulling might blow up in their faces.

Mayor of New York City is just the first step.
zombie-mammi is headed for bigger things.
Governor?
House?
Senator?
He seems to have the charismatic power to become ascendant in the dem-communist party.

Vice president?
Now I realize what you're going to say. But I wouldn't be surprised, when the time comes and he is needed, to see obama wheeled out to publicly proclaim (admit?) that he wasn't a natural-born citizen, either, yet still served two terms as president. And so that part of the Constitution is now moot and unenforceable.

Interesting is how things are gonna get...

The "soul of the Democrat party" is already long gone. That train has left the station over a decade ago.

@Cyber Liberty - This came up when I was researching Socialism on the Move:

DSA-Backed Candidates – Full Infrastructure Map (2026 Primary Cycle)

This list reflects confirmed DSA-aligned or DSA-endorsed candidates across federal, state, and local races where publicly documented slates or reporting exist. It is not exhaustive of every local endorsement, but it restores the full structural footprint of the 2026 cycle.

- Illapa Sairitupac — NY Assembly

---

TEXAS (LOCAL SCHOOL / DISTRICT-LEVEL ENTRY NODE)

- Jesus Nieto — Katy ISD At-Large Position 3

---

LOUISIANA (UTILITY / COMMISSION-LEVEL PRESENCE)

- Austin Lawson — Public Service Commission District 5

---

ARIZONA (MUNICIPAL-LEVEL PRESENCE)

- Bobby Nichols — Tempe City Council At-Large

---

KENTUCKY (LOCAL GOVERNMENT CLUSTER)

- Herbert Lynn — Urban County Council At-Large (Lexington)
- Robert LeVertis Bell — State House District 43
- Aprile Hearn — Metro Council District 5
- Andrea Parr — Metro Council District 9

---

STRUCTURAL NOTE

What this map shows is not a unified national party apparatus, but a distributed candidate pipeline operating across:

- federal congressional districts
- state legislative systems
- county governance structures
- municipal executive offices
- utility commissions and school districts

The defining feature of the 2026 cycle is not concentration of candidates, but dispersion across institutional levels.

This produces a multi-layer electoral footprint rather than a single ideological bloc.

Once again, the commies running for office have absolutely no real-world work experience (see also Bernie Sanders, Beto O'Rourke, AOC, Graham Platner, et al., etc., ad nauseam). This one in NYC is a professional student.

Darializa Avila Chevalier told Jen Psaki that her own grapples with affordability motivated her to run for Congress.
Chevalier is in the seventh year of her PhD program at CUNY in NYC.
