Starship Flight Timeline
« on: Sunday, Jun 21, 2026 07:07 am »
Flight Timeline

Flight 13: Sometimes in early July. Booster 20 and Ship 40. Another suborbital profile, validating the changes SpaceX is making to Raptor 3 and to the version 3 architecture in general.

Flight 14: Beginning of August. Booster 21 and Ship 41. Orbital injection, and the first ever ship catch attempt at the tower. This is the flight that proves Starship can come home.

Flight 15: Beginning of September. Likely Ship 42 with whatever booster is ready by then. Another full mission profile, with the program now genuinely operational.

This is what running a launch program at scale looks like. Not just hardware moving through bays, but a complete operational tempo where the production line, the test campaign, the pad, and the mission planning are all running in lockstep.

Beginning of August a ship catch attempt.  I may have to make the pilgrimage down there to watch another one.  We went down for flight 11 and it was simply amazing to watch.  I still can't believe that they practically let you drive up to the ship.

Its the only player in the race - Bezos' Blue Origin is out after they blew up on their only launch site destroying it completely, and by order of NASA's J.I.

I assumed Blue Origin was going to rebuild the pad...it's owned by NASA, right?  Until then, I guess they are out of it!  I hope SpaceX gets orbital soon, as you described in the OP.

And why all these top dollar hedge fund goons might lose their shirt, once they realize the traditional IPO dip for SPCX may not materialize.  And why I knew this would be the ultimate long term play.

This trade was for my great grandchildren.

Wait until the locked shares begin to trade then it will fall like they always do.

:silly:

* $38B and exponentially rising in federal outlays
* Significant technological advantage in space sector
* Sat sector for internet?  Musk has 10X advantage there
* VZ takeover by Musk?  He'll have 5G, Fiber, and Sat  portfolio, and he'll squeeze competition in each platform
* A!?  Musk prob. does more to make his platform (Grok) more fluid and adaptable than competitors

Been reading business journals bud?  2 weeks in, and many fund managers are already panicking that the so called built in Dip (<150 IPO price) has not already, happened,  but might not eve happen.  This isn't an old fashioned IPO, this was a once in a decade opportunity to get into the most innovative person's technological endeavor in maybe our lifetime.

Through the years, there will be corrections, like when a rocket crashes.  I still expect this will be a high flier into the future.

p.s.  Try finding other Business Channels to follow besides Bloomberg.

Rebuilding the pad they destroyed will take at least one year, if they really move fast, something BO is NOT set up to do. They do not have the expertise, personnel, or equipment to rebuild or build a pad, so essentially they are starting from a knowledge base of zero.

One can only hope that SpaceX's modifications to the Raptor engines will solve the problems.

Don't get me wrong....I love SpaceX.  I plan on buying a few shares myself when it dips.  It may not, who knows, but history tends to repeat itself.  Kind of like when silver took off to 110 this last time and everyone was saying this time it's different.....it sure wasn't and now it's headed for maybe 50.  Good luck with your investment I know you will do well long term.

I am actually 60/40 on the sub IPO dip.  We all know there will be a crash, and bad quarter, or competitor who might do some damage.

I also expect to see some significant antitrust pressures, especially if we get democrat rule for a while.  There is always a premium applied to monopoly breakups.
