I think every convicted Pool bandit needs to pay for the repairs and the Guard over time,.

If they want to vandalize the pool now they'll have to scale eight-foot fences topped with Concertina wire!

National Guard troops were not deterring them. I have learned to never doubt the tenacity of a deranged dedicated fanatic. I fear the only thing that will deter them would be a bullet.

U.S. Park Police have released video and photos asking the public to identify an individual seen briefly reaching into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on June 19. They’re investigating it as destruction of government property after major damage was found in the new sealant.
