Platner Maintained Sexually-Suggestive Profile on 'Predator's Paradise' App Known For Child Exploitation

Democrat candidate for Maine U.S. Senate Graham Platner has had a long history of sexual deviancy unearthed over the course of his political campaign. It’s previously been revealed that Platner has engaged in bouts of masturbation in public restrooms, had phone sex on a network compromised by the Taliban, and cried over the closure of a Thailand prostitution tax-loophole.

A recent report from the Wall Street Journal revealed that Platner has an account on an anonymous messaging platform known for playing host to countless sexual predators, Kik.

Platner’s account, which goes by the username phustle0331, remains active today. His chosen avatar is a mirror selfie where an individual appears to be dressed in nothing but a bath towel. The tattoos featured on the individual match tattoos that Platner had as recently as October when he conducted an interview with a local ABC affiliate, confirming that he is the individual pictured. Further, the username matches that of private Instagram account associated with Platner as well as his infamous Reddit account.





Platner’s Kik account, which he later admitted was his to the Wall Street Journal, was created on June 26, 2016. By that time, Kik has already garnered a strong reputation as a platform rife with predators seeking to sexually exploit children. Several cases received widespread attention, including a 2016 sting operation that resulted in the arrests of more than 2,600 predators. The issue was considered so prevalent that the New York Times published an exposé on the dangers the app posed to children.

Maine, the state Platner hopes to represent, has especially faced issues with residents using the platform to prey on children. In June of last year, one man received a sentence of 30 to 60 years for producing videos of children being sexually abused for users of the platform. Another case from September revealed that a man would attend children’s sporting events to obtain photos he would later sexualize through an AI generator.

A Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Maine who’s come under fire for a Nazi tattoo and apparently masturbating in port-a-potties sent sexually explicit texts to other women while he was married, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Graham Platner’s wife informed his campaign about the problem days after he announced he was running, the paper reported.

Platner and his wife, Amy Gertner, got married in 2024. Within a year of marriage, she found sexually explicit text messages from several women in the spring of 2025, the Journal reported.

If Platner was sexting on Kik with strangers, his wife gave that to the campaign, his Canpaign Manager quit out of disgust, and gave the info to the WSJ …

I bet the wife gave her access to the account and she downloaded the account.
If she gave THAT to the WSJ, then there are reporters chasing down user names to see if there were any minors.
Other reporters know this, but don’t have the names so they can’t chase the story.
But it would explain the sudden deluge of negative stories and press criticism.

Some of this, of course, relates to the wife's admission to a staffer that Platner cheated on her and was sexting with other women (not just whatever he was doing with teens). That's described on another thread in this Elections 2026 category.

It's the least of his problems right now, but notice that even as Graham Platner was juggling six women and posing nude with a towel on an app used primarily by teenaged girls, he was VERY CAREFUL to pose in just such a way as to conceal his Nazi tattoo.

Because of course he knew it was a turn-off.

WASHINGTON — Embattled Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner put forward his wife to answer for him after he was outed as having a profile on creepy hookup app Kik — as the Dem candidate himself stays silent.

Amy Gertner, who married Platner in 2023, said that she was “deeply hurt” about the campaign’s former political director, whom she tipped off about the sexting, confirming the messages to the press.

“It makes me really angry, disappointed, and I find it really shameful that there’s a group of media outlets and people who are willing to spread gossip, instead of talking about real issues that Graham is running on, like healthcare and education and childcare,” Gertner groused in a video addressing the scandal.

In the raw video Gertner cut after the scandal exploded, she acknowledged that between her and Graham, they had three counselors help them with their marriage and said her oyster farmer is “probably a genius.”

Notably, Graham himself hasn’t publicly addressed the scandal other than to post the message from his wife.

“I admire the f— out of him. So when there are news articles about our marriage, it’s just extra sh—y,” Gertner went on. “Can I say that online? I hope I can.”

On Saturday, the Wall Street Journal broke an explosive story about Platner’s extramarital sexting. It revealed that he had an active Kik account, a private messaging service that has a reputation for being used for hookups.
