A boy has been detained after allegedly plotting an elementary school shooting in Illinois.
The boy — a freshman at Plainfield High School-Central Campus, according to the school district in Plainfield — was detained by the Will County Sheriff’s Department (WCSD) after a relative caught him with a firearm, pinned him down and called 911, the department said on Facebook. His alleged target was Grand Prairie Elementary School in Joliet.
