Groveling Seattle mayor admits she was WRONG to call for boycott of Starbucks as coffee giant begins to flee its home city... and now second woke pronouncement has come back to haunt her

Seattle's woke socialist mayor admitted her calls to boycott Starbucks were wrong as the coffee giant threatens to flee her city.

Katie Wilson, 43, took an aggressive stance against the chain when she took office in January, calling for customers to ditch the company despite it being one of the city's most profitable employers.

After she was elected, Wilson visited a union rally for its baristas, declaring: 'I am not buying Starbucks, and you should not either.'

She also courted controversy last month when she was asked about the impact her high-tax, far-left economic policies could have on Seattle's tax base, saying she thought fears that millionaires would flee are 'overblown.'

'And to the ones that leave? Like, bye,' she added with a wave.

But in an interview with the New York Times, Wilson admitted that her anti-business attitude when she was elected may have been the wrong course of action.

'Those comments were not productive in the sense that they caused more harm than good,' Wilson said.

Her walk-back comes as Starbucks has announced plans to build a new business hub in income-tax-free Nashville, raising fears that the Seattle-based company could move thousands of jobs out of the northwest city.

I'll give her credit - Commies rarely have any self-realization that they screwed up.

Not saying there's hope for her, but maybe she'll at least think twice before she drives it off the cliff.

Companies need to take the jobs and move them to states that are more friendly to free market capitalist commerce.

Smith & Wesson left Mass for Tennessee because of Mass state gun and tax policies.  Springfield, Mass, was the armory of the United States military.  Not any more.

Blue State losses are Red State gains.
