Officer Anthony Carrasco, who is presumably with the San Diego Police Department, says he believes people have been shot. NBC News is reporting that two people have been killed and others are injured. The shooter has reportedly been "neutralized."

Aerial footage shows at least one person lying on the ground in a pool of blood, surrounded by law enforcement officers. It's not clear if this is the shooter or a victim.

I suggest taking the claim that the shooters were trans with a block of salt, until it is confirmed from an actual news source. IF they are, maybe one/both experienced a bit of how Islam responds to sexual perversion (short of defenestration or being tossed off the roof of a multi-story building, of course). It doesn't justify the killings, but indulgers in sexual perversion may not necessarily have strict views about murder.

The San Diego Islamic Center, where a mass shooting event today left 5 people dead (including the 2 teenage gunman of self-inflicted gunshot wounds), has a very controversial history — including ties to the 9/11 Muslim terrorist hijackers, as well as an imam who defended the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel.

NY Post (h/t Nita) Three people, including a security guard, were killed when a pair of gunmen opened fire on the Islamic Center of San Diego Monday. The suspected shooters were later found dead by suicide in a BMW. The motive for the shooting was not immediately known. San Diego police said “the threat has been neutralized.”


Previously, the Islamic Center of San Diego made headlines for its connection to Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar. Both hijackers reportedly prayed at the mosque and found an apartment nearby through advertisements at the mosque while taking flight lessons in the city.
More recently, Imam Taha Hassane has come under fire for his comments on the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks.

The teen shooters behind yesterday's attack on a San Diego mosque have been identified. They are Cain Clark (17) and Caleb Velasquez (18). Today we're getting some more information about them and the attack. Apparently, most of the attack was livestreamed and authorities are now reviewing that video.

There are some more snippets of the manifesto circulating. If they are real then it looks like these guys were Nazi incels who hated almost everyone but especially Jews and women. They didn't identify as left or right, specifically saying they didn't side with MAGA or Trump and they appear to have been what are called accelerationists. Accelerationists in this case appears to mean Nazis who embraced violence as a way to create a destabilization or collapse of society.

“I am a straight male. I am certainly not left wing, nor am I right wing — especially not with MAGA or Trump. Politically, I’d call myself a Third Positionist, specifically aligning most with National Socialism and eco-fascism, though any form of Third Positionism,” Vasquez said in the 75-page memo under the “About Me” section...

My wife comes home on a regular basis and tells me about these "borderline" cases that get let out and are on the revolving door plan. They have no support system in place. They end up living a "transient" lifestyle, nothing fixed or consistent , and people wonder how they end up back in the system.

The shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego was a heinous crime that deserves to be looked at in depth and at length. And, to a certain extent, it is — but not the way the tragedy pleads to be looked at.

The New York Times’ headline on its deep-dive on the root causes that drove two young men to kill three people outside the house of worship pretty much said it all: “San Diego Killings Follow Rising Anti-Muslim Rhetoric.”

This was all, every bit of it, attributable to anti-Muslim sentiment. This was what drove two men to attempt a mass shooting which was repelled by a security guard at the mosque, but not before the guard was fatally wounded, along with two other community members.
 
The problems with this narrative are manifold. Yes, the alleged killers hated Muslims. If one is to believe their manifesto, it’s also clear that they hated virtually everyone, and from a mix-and-match list of targets that doesn’t fall neatly anywhere on the political spectrum.
