Now the question is Fleming or Letlow.   I hate to say it, but republican women have, for the most part been a disappointment at the very least...Joni Earnst, to out right batshit crazy.. MGT, Cheney after we elect them. Even our female SCOTUS picks have been far less than one would desire.

As of now, I think I am pulling for Fleming.

Good idea...we need more America-hating Democrats in the Senate, not more Marsha Blackburns!

What to know tonight
CASSIDY LOSES: Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy loses his primary as Rep. Julia Letlow and state Treasurer John Fleming advance to a June 27 runoff.
CASSIDY'S CHALLENGE: Cassidy had been staring down a potentially difficult primary since 2021, when he was one of seven GOP senators who voted to convict Donald Trump on impeachment charges. He has also sparred with the Trump administration and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on vaccine policy and other public health issues in the last year-plus.
THE FIELD: Trump endorsed Letlow in January, but Fleming has touted his own connections to the president.

First time in 14 years that an incumbent Senator has lost a primary, good going Louisiana.
Hopefully next stop Tuesday will be *TEXAS* (Cornyn).

Never did I say there were not good, even great women elected as R's... just that the preponderance of them turn out more like Chaneys and mtgs, than Blackburns.  Would that it were no so.

BYW, if you like Marsha, than you like Flemming, as he is more like Marsha than is Letlow.  Letlow is an arts/philospy major who worked in acadumbia as an administrator. Flemming is Tea Party and co-founder of the House Freedom Caucus. He holds a bachalor of science and medical degrees, and Fleming was chief resident in family medicine at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Camp Pendleton, California. He also trained at the drug and alcohol treatment unit at the Navy Regional Medical Center in Long Beach, California.Serving in the Navy after his residency, Fleming practiced family medicine on the island of Guam.

Again, at this point it is Flemming, Letlow looks more like a Casidy Light version to me.

Not sure what your dig about democraps in Senate means, as Flemming has won Statewide races, is more conservative. It is not Maine.. we do not need to run another Collins in LA to win.

Hopefully, with Casidy out, Trump reconsiders and backs Flemming.

Flemming may be a conservative chap, but will support Schumer in all the important ways.  Democrats vote in lockstep, and Flemming will be right there with them.  So no, I won't be supporting any Democrats!

You've got that backwards.  There is nothing in Flemmings record that I know of.. and it is extensive, to even suggest that. If you know of something, I would be grateful if you would point it out.

Just looking at the Democrats' track record.  Remember, Fetterman votes with Schumer 93% of the time, and I expect nothing better from Flemming!

Yet you have produced nothing to back your assertion.

Here is Numbers USA comparison. CPAC has both Letlow and Cassidy ranked in the mid 70's lifetime. Haven't found Flemmings yet.

I don't have anything specific, other than Flemming will caucus with the Democrats.

Yes.

And if Cornyn goes, he and Cassidy will likely join RINOs Murkowski and Tillis to wreck havoc on Trump's agenda for the rest of the year.

That includes judicial appointments.

They will have CNN and More Shit Now gigs to tide them over in the hard times.

The Senate to now lose an exceptionally brilliant and creative mind, an MD who chairs healthcare, and a person of character. Bill Cassidy’s departure is a loss for the country.

I love seeing the last men standing of the old GOP try and tell Americans what is good for us when it was their brand of GOP that cowered like children in the fight for freedom for decades
