Watters: Obama “Definitely not Born in Africa”

On his Wednesday night program, “Jesse Watters Primetime,” in a comparison drawn between “Barack Hussein Obama” and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, host Jesse Watters declared Obama “definitely not born in Africa.”

Mamdani was born in Uganda, which Watters pointed out would preclude him from running for president.

Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires the president and commander-in-chief to be a “natural born Citizen,” a term the Framers did not define when they wrote the founding document.

Many Americans understand “natural born Citizen” to mean simply “born in the United States.” However, others, particularly legal scholars who follow the issue closely, say it imposes a higher citizenship standard by requiring that a presidential candidate’s parents have been U.S. citizens when the candidate was born in the United States.

Obama claims to have been born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 to a U.S.-citizen mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, and a Kenyan-born, British-citizen father, Barack Hussein Obama (Sr.). No hospital has confirmed the claim, and an image released by the White House on April 27, 2011 said to be a PDF of Obama’s “long-form” birth certificate held by the Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) was later found by a criminal investigation to be a “computer-generated forgery.”

It does not matter one bit WHERE barrack Obama was born because his father was from Kenya and thus a British subject. International law in 1961 dictated that the citizenship of children born anywhere followed that of their father. Barrack's citizenship at birth was that of his father and it is thus impossible for him to be a NBC of the United States.

I don't remember. I imagine I just gave up trying to follow the story after it was drawn out for so long (years) with the conclusion that obscure weird communists could alter the birth of a child to anywhere if high enough politically (and given time).

No , he never produced the paper birth certificate. And there was never an explanation as to why the birth certificate serial number was out of sequence.

Didn't the publisher of his first book use a biography - provided by Obama - that referred to him as being from Kenya?

Perhaps you recall a plane that went down between islands in Hawaii. All on board survived the ditching, one elderly gent swam to shore. The person who was said to have died in the water (of a cardiac arrhythmia), and the only person to die in the incident, was Loretta Fuddy, who was said to have signed off on Obama's BC.
So, you can't ask where the real one came from, or where it is.
His college records were sealed, too, so we don't know if he was considered a foreign student, either.

Sure seems a lot of folks born elsewhere are getting a lot of airtime spewing how our country should be run, and some of them are even casting votes where it counts to do so.
