Thursday on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner said if Democrats win control of the Senate after the midterms, they needed to shut down the Trump administration.

Planter said, “We all understand that Donald Trump is uniquely awful. Donald Trump really is kind of the the avatar of the worst elements of our politics in our society.”

Host Jen Psaki said, “If you’re elected to the Senate, it’s possible, I started the show talking about this, that you could be in the majority. How do you think power should be wielded if Democrats are given that for people who are just getting to know, you’re trying to figure you out out there?”

Planter said, “Something we’re going to have to do if we’re in the majority, we need to use the power we get to shut this White House down. We do that. I think one of the best ways is through committee hearings and investigations. I want the Trump administration not to function, because everyone in the White House is being hauled under subpoena in front of a Senate committee, day after day after day, not just because one, we have so many crimes to investigate at this point. We can probably be doing this for the next 30 years, but two, because it’s a lever of power using subpoena power, bringing people in for investigations, that keeps them busy, and that doesn’t allow them to go start another stupid war that doesn’t allow them to continue to give billionaires more and more and more of our economy. And so I think it’s very important that if we’re in the majority, we’re going to wield the power that we have to rein this thing in.”

His former opponent for the Senate, the current Governor of Maine, has refused to endorse him against Susan Collins.  That's bad news for the real Nazi, Platner!

Fetterman: Platner Part of ‘Small Communist Takeover’ in Maine, Dems Can’t Resist ‘Worst Impulses’

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said that “there is kind of a small Communist takeover in Maine” with Graham Platner on track to win the party’s nomination for the U.S. Senate, and the “worst impulses” of the Democratic Party seem to be hard for the party to resist.

Host Jesse Watters asked, “How big of a threat do you think this Communist movement is?”

Fetterman answered, “[A] lot of these terrible groups like Code Pink and a lot of the other ones that are strongly aligned to the CCP, without a doubt, they’re being financed. It’s ironic, these kinds of protests are being funded by billionaires against billionaires. I don’t know if they realize the irony in many of those things right now. And, now, there is kind of a small Communist takeover in Maine. Platner, he’s already announced that he’s an avowed Communist. He’s made that statement, and he put that online. Now, he’s going to be the Democratic nominee. So there is a [resurgence of] socialism, and that’s become more and more a part of it. And now there’s more — it’s like a marriage of the Palestinian, the anti-ICE, the abolish ICE, and now turning it into like an orgy of socialism here, and that’s sad. Because it’s supposed to be about labor, like unions. I am absolutely a proud pro-union Democrat, but the kinds of mess that are you see showing up in many of them, that is the worst impulses that our party continues, we just [can’t seem to] resist those things.”
